Glad that @anonym commented on this, as I missed it. An emanation of style indeed. The music matches the GFX and the Title (I like the title as much as the great prod) And, the crackly bass seems to jibe so well with the crackly fossil bits. Visuals and music are both appropriately clean and turbulent at the same time.

When I saw the screenshot, I already loved the design. I really was looking forward to voting 10 for this one, and I almost did. The design, the music, perfect. The scroller is in the sideborder too, as it should be.

But I did miss something. The fade-in/fade-out lacks something, which is too bad, because the rest is just close to perfect. My guess is there wasn't enough time.

Beautiful work though.

Dat tune! Great one, like the scroller, might some sprite action on the bottom center could make it better (or not).

The only thing about colors that seems out of place to me is the dark blue for the smallest scrollers. But I'm not sure the alternatives would have been better.

Damn coders and their colour perception! :P

Thanks all.

The colour combo is basically a shifted complementary contrast, I think it works well. And no, it is not meant for old VIC, on old VIC this will look like total ass, because of lacking contrast.

Great logo, nice scroller, awesome music! I agree with Groepaz on the color choice though. Is this meant for "old VIC" palette?

Lovely logo by pixel-master ptoing. And the tune is excellent also!

Would have liked to of seen a better font used (maybe something old / "fossilised" if possible?) for a more coherent design but overall this is really cool! Great job!

Knut always does so beautiful screens. I'm a total Knut fan. So cleverly done. And that beautiful logo from Ptoing. Love it!

Wow! What an intro! More of a demo-intro than a crack-intro, but nevertheless wonderful. Thanks a lot - this positions itself as one of my absolute favourites in this competition.

The intro competition is to strong this year.

I totally love how cleverly you structured the screen/borders. It looks cool, it sounds cool plus it is different/special. Top 10 material in my book.

PS: And if an emulator(!) suxx, don't apologize! And don't use the word "bug" if it runs on real vanilla C64

i like the scroller... however the combination of blue/pink-ish at the bottom and brown/orange at the top is too irritating for me. *shrug*

outstanding tune. a little more action on the screen would be appreciated, but overall strong design. ribbon shadow text opportunity missed ;-)

@Raistlin - Other people have mentioned that bug too. I suspect it is the iOS app for csdb? Intro is tested on several versions of VICE and real hardware.

Really cool concept with the scrolly, excellent pixel art on the logo and nicely moody tune.

Nice design!

It’s a shame the text on the back ribbon isn’t clipped... but otherwise a very solid idea!
