just read the book (which is far better than the movie) of Ready Player One. this game gem and its easter-egg is quoted often.

The original ADVENTURE was published in 1979, so any later game was surely inspired by it.

Reminds me of Crown Quest +2D &Map a lot. I wonder if the maps look almost the same.

No, I guess not. At first, there is no level select here (easter egg on vcs only on levels 2/3). And of course, this version was not coded by Warren Robinett himself... :-)
