First time I hear a 'handpan' sound on the c64. Never really checked out your music. Hands down, I love your style! | User Comment Submitted by Flotsam on 18 June 2020
I'm here to report that weeks have passed and I'm still awestruck. | User Comment Submitted by Saphir on 24 May 2020
Really impressive song, well done :) | User Comment Submitted by Linus on 19 May 2020
Incredible sounds, very nice progressions. Superb. | User Comment Submitted by Aix on 12 May 2020
Long time since I said "wow" loud after 3 seconds. 10! | User Comment Submitted by SMC on 12 May 2020
Soo super nice sounds and excellent build up. As algorithm said, anything below 10 is unacceptable! Love it! | User Comment Submitted by GH on 10 May 2020
Okaaay inhaled this one :D What a rush~Superb building up. Sofisticated in balancing the energy.Filter sweep just at right moment. Contrary to what others here say I like the Snare soundalot. It is not as demanding and helps the chords to come out better.I heard a D#3 - 027 whole song so Snare pitch should be fine and sounds in key too which is highly subjective of course LOL but a little bit of theory won't harm.@Joe: little old DMC :D | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 9 May 2020
I wanted to go on listening and voting to the compo entries. I can't... I have to listen to this over and over again. Shit, this is the best SID tune ever in my book until now.. | User Comment Submitted by algorithm on 8 May 2020
Excellent piece. Anything less than 10 is unacceptable | User Comment Submitted by Toggle on 8 May 2020
Damn it, Marcin, this is brilliant! Sound design, composition... even the player screen - everything is TOP notch! | User Comment Submitted by The Phantom on 8 May 2020
It really bothers me hearing something like this as it makes me wonder HOW.
I never fully understood the 2x, 4x (etc) concept or why someone would want to compose with such speed. Does it allow different instruments, or just higher pitching..
Being partially tone deaf doesn't help at all (I play keyboard AND guitar also!!)..
Anyway man..
This has amazing sound! If I listened to ASOT, I'd expect to hear this (I stopped listening because Armin talks too much)..
But yeah.. Fantastic piece here. Would love to learn more about the X speed thing and what it offers outside regular sids..
Also...
Forever loop mode activated :)
Good work! | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 8 May 2020
What the FUCK?!? This is so beyond everything!!! And I don't even like the musical style... But that sound is ... again ... what the fuck? warm, analogue, even that "saw style" stuff in there... Just... how?!? *baffled*
EDIT: so much depth. ... can't compute.... have to loop that thing forever now ... :-P
EDIT2: shit, this isn't even 11/10 anymore. This is TWELVE!!! ;-P
Maybe I'm too drunk to judge right now. I'll do it anyway .... :-) | User Comment Submitted by CreaMD on 5 May 2020
I feel Orcan vibes in this one, but I'm sure Orcan would say he wouldn't be able to pull out these sounds from SID. ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Steel on 4 May 2020
the Master of DMC strikes again incredibly | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 4 May 2020
As I told you already: Squeezing those massive sounds out of little old DMC really impresses. It sounds awesome! | User Comment Submitted by LMan on 4 May 2020
Whoa those sounds! And lovely composition too!! 10 | User Comment Submitted by Shogoon on 4 May 2020
Next level sound design and beautiful logo;) | User Comment Submitted by MCM on 4 May 2020
OMG, this is next Level shit mate ! what a smasher sid ! 10/10 for me 4 sure ! | User Comment Submitted by Brush on 4 May 2020
One of the best songs by Psycho8580. Snare is perfect :) | User Comment Submitted by Ksubi on 4 May 2020
Awesome work psych858o! <3 | User Comment Submitted by Frostbyte on 4 May 2020
Superb sounds! The only instrument sounding a little bit out of place is the snare, but it's just a matter of personal preference, of course.
People should do more 5x and higher speed tunes. Lots of unexplored sound territory there, I reckon. :) | User Comment Submitted by Flotsam on 3 May 2020
Multispeed madness. I'm awestruck. | User Comment Submitted by Digger on 3 May 2020
You've made me pull out my 2SID HW from the drawer Marcin ;-) Nice unexpected ending (hope it would result in a deep house tune) and subtle hints of your steel drum.
Also neat player and PETSCII. | User Comment Submitted by vincenzo on 3 May 2020
I'm not surprised that sounds are mistaken with samples. Sound design is unbelievable. Great job. I wish I would be a SID in your C64 Marcin. | User Comment Submitted by Raffox|HF on 3 May 2020
@psych858o:
Wow, I really thought you used some samples here. I shall double my compliments then! | User Comment Submitted by psych on 3 May 2020
Thanks Frantic. Yes, it is 6x. | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 3 May 2020
Appreciate the technical experimentation with the sounds here. Clearly shows what can be achieved in six speed (if Ian was right about that, which I presume he is). The only sound I didn't quite think lives up to its 6x potential was the snare drum. At least if I were to judge from the way it sounded in Vice. Obviously I should listen on real hardware too of course. | User Comment Submitted by Dymo on 3 May 2020
I like this a lot... good job! :D | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 3 May 2020
Absolutely lovely stuff. Nice you used the logo Marcin! | User Comment Submitted by Shine on 3 May 2020
I am listening right now about 15 minutes. And it's not getting boring! Thanks for this amazing sunday music! GREAT!!! :D | User Comment Submitted by Båtsman on 3 May 2020 User Comment Submitted by Mibri on 3 May 2020
Unbelievable, frankly. Chord changes, sound design, and arrangement are all absolutely top, top level. You've raised the bar for multispeed tunes yet again. <3 | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 3 May 2020
No digis in here, just multispeed (6x more or less) | User Comment Submitted by psych on 3 May 2020
Thanks Raffox, however, no samples here. | User Comment Submitted by Raffox|HF on 3 May 2020
Very enjoyable! Maybe a pinch too short? Still, lovely digi. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 3 May 2020
I had to take a deep breath :O |
