(something for hvsc: side 2 tune is based on 'feel good, inc.' by gorillaz, at least the bassline goes note-by-note)

@"iAN CooG" - i tried the demo with the x64sc.exe of WinVICE V3.2 and also with the x64sc.exe of the latest GTK3VICE V3.4 and i see no differene in the effect with the oscilloscope. Seems like, this also works perfect in older versions of VICE too, but the x64sc.exe must be used (and of course 512kb REU). With the x64.exe of WinVICE V3.2, the demo has problems in different effects.

@Bjørn Røstøen: Actually there are two tributes in there for you; the slider and the swirler :)

Sparkling quality of craftsmanship, wrapped in charm and presented with perfect flow. It filled me with ecstasy as I was engulfed by the party stream. It cannot possibly get any better than this, I thought! ...and then I read my name. Thank you, and thank you!

I used WinVICE 2.4 and 3.1 (x64sc.exe) with no problems :)

@Mibri: Dize had a similar experience when watching the oscilloscope :)

dr.j: GTK VICE 3.4 is required to see all parts, on 3.2 the oscilloscopes don't work. Enable REU 512kb on I/O settings

Bonzai, you spoil us! An absolute blast. The 'oscilloscope view' part brought me out of my seat on the night!

Sorry for the lame question but neither X64 or X64SC Version 3.0 can't run it . what do i need to run the demo with vice emulator?

What a show from start to end, now excuse me while I go pick up that jaw from the floor. :D
The soundtrack, various nice scene references (with a bit of humour thrown in for good measure :D) and audio visualizers, sold.
For sure one my highlights watching the Gubbdata stream. Thank you for this!

Please read the note :) It contains detailed info about the issue...

The problem is that 1541 Ultimate shares (afaik) the memory for REU and drive emulation. When changing disk with REU in use it can crash.

Solution: Press space, wait for the stars to disappear and then change disk...

Thanks for the kind words. I plan on releasing some REU test software based on this (with source) in the near future :)

Ok, just rewatched it on RealHW with Ultimate1541..damn, this demo is so awesome! Even though I had the same issue as Hedning in the stream - the turn Disk part crashed here, too. Any ideas why?

Love the fact that guys are pushing the boundaries and exploring other areas of the 64 scene. This is simply beautiful, with great design and flow. Love the soundtrack also. Well done!

Yes, I only wanted to point out that VICE is a suite of emulators containing both x64 and x64sc, the message should have said x64 instead of VICE, nothing else.
Also, x64sc from VICE 3.2 fails on the oscilloscopes. It really needs the newer version as you said.

Ian, the old (non SC) version of VICE does not handle REU to char streaming correctly. I test it by using char to sprite collision check (black on black)...

You can see it in the SID visualiser on disk 2. Also some parts in Treu Love will fail in a similar manner...

I also had to do a similar test for the endpart as the timing for 8 sprites together with streaming to magic byte is different on old and new versions of VICE and 1541 Ultimate and real REU... Actually the newest version of VICE works just as well as real REU :)

Yeah, but how on earth did we figure out to test for that? :D

I've first run this with x64 and it says "you are using VICE and not x64sc" err, "ok"? x64 is still VICE ;)
Excellent demo, jaw dropper.
