I guess I'm not into colonoscopy equally as much. | User Comment Submitted by Shogoon on 5 August 2020
Btw, thank you for your vote;) I won't change my 9 for you cause I think your piece is great. | User Comment Submitted by F7sus4 on 5 August 2020 User Comment Submitted by Shogoon on 5 August 2020
Maybe, but there is no melody in your piece, nor rhythm - there are chords and changing colours of sound. If your idea was to build a form on repeating chords they should create really strong musical statement, for me it's not enough. It;s only my opinion, I'm not an oracle;) | User Comment Submitted by F7sus4 on 5 August 2020
@Shogoon: An assumption that the musical structure is by default "meant" to be based on progressions instead of repetitions is simply false in this case. | User Comment Submitted by Shogoon on 4 August 2020
Original distorted soundscape, interesting harmonies. One thing - form of your piece develops on chord changes, and therefore i would like to hear more movement in harmony, with some sense of direction. In your piece chords are moving out and in, back to safe places. I know that you are more focused on sound, and the sound is really amazing. | User Comment Submitted by Thunder.Bird on 4 August 2020

"6581R4AR is strongly recommended"
R4AR being fundamentally different to R3 is an urban legend, btw. They just all sound wildly different :) | User Comment Submitted by Conrad on 1 August 2020
Definitly a new league of impressive SID art here... brawo! | User Comment Submitted by booker on 1 August 2020
very good release and obviously dethroning single SID entries with skilfully executed composition and sound design. | User Comment Submitted by Xiny6581 on 1 August 2020
OH my SIDness! This was frikking awesome!
Lovely build up and then it explodes into heaven! :D | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 1 August 2020 User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 1 August 2020
Oh! My! God! It really transcends what SID is supposed to sound like :O Gorgeous! And all that in 25Hz <3 | User Comment Submitted by F7sus4 on 1 August 2020
Due to significant discrepancies between SID 6581 filter curves, it becomes complicated to achieve compatibility required for music heavily based on filter usage, such as this one.
To reproduce the sound as intended, 6581R4AR is strongly recommended for playback on native C64 machine. In emulated environment, these are the suggested compatibility settings:
Vice 2.x:
- SID model: 6581R4AR 3789 (reSID-fp)
Vice 3.4+:
- 6581 (reSID), filter bias: -200
Please do not use SID 8580.
