Forgot to comment on this .. I personally find this to be more interesting than the winner. No offense meant towards anyone, "All Hallow's Eve" is great too. Simply a matter of preference.

Zardax: Nice little reference to SurSum Theme there. :D

Good job, a very nice demo, although I am not a fan of blockiness in animations, but I think that is not a surprise to anyone ;)
It's good that there are no "pointless animations discussions" here, maybe the scene progressed towards some reason since the last time. One can only hope.
The statue is absolutely mesmerising.

Love this. Super fast bitmap scroller in the start, nice lighting effect on that statue, good use of dither characters (and damn, there goes that thing I've been meaning to do for far too long haha), and I like the beat effect on the circle scroller. Excellent soundtrack, too.

Good use of animations on side 2, looking forward to seeing people attempt to realtime some of those ;)

Highlights:
1. The credits pt. - blocky but fast'n'smooth ^_^
2. The music
3. The screen feat. the large blue face and skull. I think it was the fast pixel fx going on that that made the pt. look rather decent, and original.

This is an awesome demo - all the way.
Do note that there are only 5 ppl in the creditz list, compared to other major demos of the same quality. RESPECT!
Me like!
Oh - and the statue lightsource effect was mindblowingly executed!

hats off! I totally dig the "straight in your face" style. On a crt monitor light that shading effect is mindblowing!

That light sourced veiled statue effect is incredible. The way it changes viewpoint and zoom makes it work extremely well.

Also, that 8x8 dither font is very effective.
