This is a perfect Quiss-prod! Thank you for this outstanding piece of exploitation and demo fun!

@Warning: So far experts agree it shouldn't do any harm, apart from when hotplugging (unconnect/reconnect while devices are turned ON, always to be avoided, believe me), see also Discussions on Forums

Reminds ne at the Drive Sample Player which could make your drive go hell ( or at least misaligned)

I can only warn that Bitfunx Retroscaler doesn't like it and I probably fucked it for good but that's on me xD

wickeeed

what I find most amazing output is quite more than some patterned noise, we've got raster bar effects, plasma, raster plasma (rasma?) on video and even speech synth on audio!

brilliant stuff

When you thought Quiss' insanity couldn't be topped... <3

That this one came #3 shows to me, again, that the Revision peeps don't truly know what they're looking at. We need to get these sort of prods shown at X and Siggraph instead - to people who understand what it is :-)

Also, @chatgpz, will there be a VICE emulation of flipping audio/video analogue cables? :p

I was in the room when this happened and very nice meeting you Quiss at Revision 2025! I am afraid what you come up to next because it's getting more absurd every time (in the best meaning of that word)

Amazing stuff! And nobody can deny that this is a C64 demo this time (I disagreed on Freespin anyway - to me that -was- a C64 demo just as much as any that uses C64 with 1541). Absolutely mind blowing what you’ve done here.

Funky idea... again! :)

And again, no obvious way of improving on anything of that. Perfect firstie. Again. =)

Still the exact same hardware, but a completely new result that feels alien, maybe from near a black hole where the laws of physics don't apply.
I appreciate it even more than Freespin, because no cable cutting required, just a case of common pebkac :)
And then it shows infinite shades of gray, sharp high fps rasterbar effects (3d too!) and a 100% fresh new sound chip \o/
The sample at the end sounds slippery smooth too.

Nobody would be able to classify this as a c64 demo just by seeing the result, and that's delivering something completely new in true demo scene spirit.

Hail King Quiss

This is not just absolutely bonkers, but also doubles as a great noise demo if you do NOT switch the cables. 😁

When Freespin was released I thought I have seen it all... I was wrong! :) You all are as crazy as you are brilliant! Mind-blowing demo!

Doesn't work in VICE 2.4... 1/10!

No, seriously, awesome stuff! This is why they say that there's a fine line between genius and insanity... ;)

such a simple idea and so much complexity under the hood: just connect the cables the wrong way - and it works! fxxking awesome!

tried it on hardware here, but unfortunately my tv probably is a little too modern and didn't synch to the video signal - but the audio came out correct!
