a little too much on the happy-rave-side for my personal taste, but I do like the melodies :)
That's what makes sid composers sound different after all

| A good tune - interesting sound, but somehow it gets on my nerves very fast... I agree that this would be a good shooter-soundtrack but as stand-alone music it's a little bit boring. I must admit that funky or experimental stuff is more my cup of tea when it comes to 8-bit music. |

| I'm probably taking it a bit personaly because I usually do (or at least try to do) this kind of catchy happy music all the time and I love it. ;-) And I also think that there wasn't much of such material in sid compos over the years. I don't say it's the best thing I have heard. Nor is the (for example) Let Me Eat Your Rastertime.. but I listen to the later one very often in loops without any objective reason. There are few tunes I love to return to from time to time (another is Le Tartar and Pretzelism) which actually doesn't win int the departmen of unpredictability or innovation, but I love them nevertheless. Btw. I really miss Asterion's stuff. Where the dude go. SID compos without him feel so empty ;-) |

I love it. And unlike some other people here, I'm actually most fond of the first few bars. It has vibes of Galway (think Miami Vice Title).

| roman >> didn't you comment about lesser catchyness once or more upon various tunes? :P seriously, you're trying to tell us that this tune is objectively a masterpiece and everyone should bow and pray bacause it's so easy going and melodic. some people really don't feel this kind of straight message and express that, simply ;) me cries about polish music where 'doda' and 'feel' rullor the roost and year by year they win almost every major award producing the same banal music and exploiting the most predictable schemes possible. sad but true. back to the topic, i've appreciated certain elements of the tune hence my 8 for the author and his work. amen. |

| Nice tune... but the vibrato on the lead is a bit... irritating.... The lead could be made much more alive imo... There are definately some nice things in this tune melody-wise but somehow it is not optimal executed... Still an ok tune... |

I love it (sometimes), I can appreciate it's quality (always) but it doesn't move me as much as some simpler things. I loved scene funk past then but I wasn't doing it.. I maybe couldn't (maybe I am simple, after all, who knows?) but I didn't have it in me. If you don't have it in yourself, you shouldn't do it just because you want to look better. ;-) So I rather stay with my things... they still make me happy and actaully score quite well around general audience too. (yeah.. they are sheep and monkeys.. I admit... ;-) |
