Good work guys, thanks for the tribute.
The Prodigy was my no 1 electronic band for couple years of youth, unforgettable crazy music and performance. | User Comment Submitted by w4rp8 on 18 March 2019

Jammer, you have elephant ears:P Amazing work:) | User Comment Submitted by Digger on 17 March 2019
@Golara: hats off sir! I could only do this when I was your age ;-) Nice touch with random line fade in fx that copies data to sprites too. Was wondering if you’d actually copied or used $d015 to hide border sprites. RIP Keith! | User Comment Submitted by Golara on 17 March 2019
I had code opening the sideborder and showing sprites for all 200 lines + converter done already. I modified it a bit to only use sprites on the right to save memory. Then the small checkerboard intro and linking it together... I took a day off from work and I think we worked on it from 12:00 to 04:00 :P It's always better to release at a party. I also worked on the Desire intro at the same time. | User Comment Submitted by Mibri on 17 March 2019
Wha... how?!?! Absolutely floored by the cover.
RIP Keith <3 | User Comment Submitted by ChristopherJam on 17 March 2019
@golara Ah, my maths was a little off, I forgot 8 expanded sprites only gives you 4 chars coverage either side of the borders. I was thinking of reusing all the ROLs of the rightmost sprite, but that might need a many as 24 buffers, which is a tad excessive. Never mind!
Anyway, overall a most excellent production, and I’m also still impressed how quickly it was pulled together. | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 17 March 2019
great Tribute guyz!! RIP FLINT!! | User Comment Submitted by Golara on 17 March 2019
CJAM: Well, If you open the borders and have 8 double X sprites they will not cover all of the screen, so there will be gaps and if you will just move the sprites to the left and then back after 8 or 16 pixels you will see the jumping and appearing of the new chars on the right side which would be ugly. So what you need is static 8 sprites and just ROL the bits (pixels) across all 8 sprites, that's 192 ROLs times the amount of lines of the scroll. Could be double buffered, but that's still a lot of code. | User Comment Submitted by ChristopherJam on 17 March 2019
Oops, I forgot it's a lower border scroll so the method from After 39 Chars Wide Scroller doesn't directly apply.
But, given it's a sprite scroller I'm not quite following your ROL comment? Or is that because you can't just move the sprites without having gaps at at least one end, given the constraints of border opening?
In which case, CWS may apply after all, just caching already rotated sprites instead of caching already rotated chars :) | User Comment Submitted by Golara on 17 March 2019
@ChristopherJam I don't know what that method you are talking about is. Scroller is in the lower border btw. | User Comment Submitted by JCH on 17 March 2019 User Comment Submitted by ChristopherJam on 17 March 2019
@Mixer - I see what you did there :D | User Comment Submitted by ChristopherJam on 17 March 2019
In terms of ROLing graphics, you'd only need to do a few per frame using the 40CWS method, or none at all if the sprites just overlapped the chars.
But really the demo is fine as is, and to pull it together in just one day is seriously impressive as is. | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 17 March 2019 User Comment Submitted by Mixer on 17 March 2019

Fantastic tribute, now for the sound, Man this is insane, Kamil you are a genius.. 50Hz wizardry! | User Comment Submitted by Cobra/Samar on 17 March 2019 User Comment Submitted by Golara on 17 March 2019
@Digger. Almost all code for this was done in one day, there was just not enough time for that. I'd also need to ROL the graphics instead of just moving the scroller and swapping characters when they are hidden behind the border. Not sure if there would be enough rastertime for that. | User Comment Submitted by The Overkiller on 17 March 2019 User Comment Submitted by Dr.Science on 17 March 2019 User Comment Submitted by Digger on 17 March 2019
Or even 2 or 4x? Can't believe how well you've captured original FX with SID waveforms @ 1x, Jammer!
Great logos and pic too. Wondering why the scroller was not using sideborders too? | User Comment Submitted by Carrion on 17 March 2019
Now I wander how this tune would sound like on doubleSID...
Jammer? | User Comment Submitted by psych on 17 March 2019

The music, the artwork, the scrolltext. A perfect tribute for a heartfelt loss. | User Comment Submitted by algorithm on 17 March 2019
Perfection. 10/10. At first I wondered where the main highlight of the tracks lead was and there it was after 2.20. Excellent instrument creation and all running with no samples. just updating per frame. | User Comment Submitted by Stinsen on 17 March 2019 User Comment Submitted by Jason Page on 16 March 2019
