Hello awesome people!
When I started writing music for the C64 I was no scener, it was just something I really liked to do. I was in high school in Niagara Falls, Canada at the time and taking music classes. Music composition was something I really enjoyed and once I found a copy of JCHPlayer on a local BBS, I set to work making music and shared a couple of my tunes there.
It was summer of 1993 when I was contacted by Asmodeus of Carcass about him wanting to use some of my music for one of their upcoming demos. After a discussion over the phone, I said yes and uploaded some songs to him. About a month later, we spoke again and after telling me he thought my "bass sounded very mellow" he requested more tunes. He asked me to change my handle since my old one of Flying Ace was not exactly scene-worthy so I came up with Intense! with the exclamation point as part of it. After sending him the remainder of my music, the method we used to talk no longer worked and he never responded to any further messages from the BBS.
At this point due to many life events hitting seemingly at once (starting college, death of my father, moving) I was forced to drop out of the scene from the very brief time I was in it. I still love composing and I dabble in MODs to this day and have made a few songs using OpenMPT.
