To me, an astonishing aspect is, how much the choice of sounds and arrangement makes sense even today on a modern studio monitoring setup. Mr. Walker must have been absolutely in the zone at the time of composing this soundtrack.
I personally still remember, when this came out and popped up on our CRTs and blasted out of the speakers, how all of a sudden the blippety-bloppedy C64 sound was transformed into something that actually related to contemporary, cutting edge electronic-industrial cinematic sound. A real big picture. Also: the "Walker's Warbles" on this game's disk - wow! A true milestone in treating the SID like the synthesizer that it actually is.
