Please add "Recrack of" to entries
E.g. most of the Zak MkCracken releases are recracks of the original Eagle Soft crack. All those crackers replaced the original intro but left the in-game crack (which still contains Eagle Soft credits) in place.
Some of these releases list Eagle Soft as one of the crackers but I find this suboptimal since Eagle Soft didn't endorse this for sure.
Thus I recommend adding a "recrack of" property to entries that links to another entry they were recracked from.
This would explicitly just be for the (by far most common) simple cases, more difficult cases such as the "Lemmings" story where one cracker combined their own crack with missing disk sides from another crack would rather be a case for "Trivia" IMO.
Also, dunno about cases where a recrack happened but the recrackers added more features such as trainers...
And people might want to read up about evidence, how to verify that this is actually a recrack, where would the best place be for that? (maybe the original crack's trivia section) |

Oh, did I overlook that? My bad :/
That's good as a quick solution, but I'd still prefer a more complete "recrack of", linking the original crack, and making it obsolete to mention the original crackers in the recrack |

Just misses the possibility to reference the initial crack, if it can be identified. Useful for NTSC- or PAL-fixes and more. Sometimes another group added trainers to other's cracks,fixed bugs or packed it.
A generic reference "based on Entry" would be nice, not only for cracks but also e.g for tools which were improved/developed further by others. |
