Scriptable c64 emulator

Hi

I hope this is the right place to post this.

Does anyone know of some kind of scriptable c64 emulator ?

Basically I want to load a program and run it to RTS , grab a set of memory locations and save them to a file.

Rinse and repeat.

I know Mame has LUA support, but I've not managed to get that running. Anyone know of any alternatives ?

No, nothing like that.

I'm trying to write a tool to help sid remixers.

All I want to do is call a sid play routine then take a "snapshot" of the sid registers and save them to file so that I can plot the note data onto a frequency chart.

The Vice monitor is more powerful than one might think. I am using it for automated testing exactly in the same manner: a monitor scrip file that sets a break point, dumps some memory to a file and exits then (well you probably would want to continue instead).

"The Vice monitor is more powerful than one might think"

I passionately hate it tho. So much worse than Action Replay's monitor.

Have you seen what JCH is doing with DeepSID and Flood tab? (http://deepsid.chordian.net) Maybe you just need a web based SID player? ^_^
