ReSID for DeepSID

Hello. Has anyone tried to compile ReSID to JavaScript with Emscripten? I'm wondering this because DeepSID's sid emus are quite inaccurate and I don't immediately understand why it doesn't just use ReSID?

Or is resid/resid-fp just too slow when it's compiled to js?

I fear it is. Jürgen Wothke, the creator of the WebSid emulator, recently upgraded it to use cycle-by-cycle processing. However, not all browsers and computers can keep up with that, and it's even worse on mobile devices where I have chosen the legacy version of WebSid as the default.

Emulator coding/porting is beyond my capabilities, but I'd love to see someone else give it a shot.

The archive.org guys ported VICE 3.2 to JS, including ReSID: https://github.com/Sgeo/vice32.js

Perhaps that's worth a look? Works on my i5 box.
