Getting started with Turbo Assembler
First and foremost: I'm literally a total newbie to coding. I did code a little machine code in the TFC monitor like 15 years ago, but have totally forgotten everything I used to know from that time, but would like to try and learn a little assembler again.
As a matter of fact, I don't even remember how to use the assembler program. I downloaded Turbo Assembler Profesional v5.FT to play around with it a bit, but have no clue what to do, as for shortcuts and commands that is. I can type in some code, but then what do I do to execute, save or whatever? Is there some kind of instructions or tutorial file for how to get started with Turbo Assembler? And is this the preferred version by coders, or is there a better version of Turbo Assembler (for a plain, non-expanded C64, that is)?
And if anyone has some links to coding tutorial for real beginners (with lots of comments to each line if possible), please by all means share them as well. |
