Very interesting! But I prefer making music on PC with Renoise and then converting it to the C64 Roland Hermans player and edit the instruments.
So I can also expand on the PC version for e.g. children's music.
Nice tune BTW!

are you talking about doing a sketch in renoise and doing the actual tune in your editor, or do you actually "convert" things? (it should be doable after all, by renoise putting out xml data)

converting will be nice in some cases. but total control and exploit the SID is only possible on C64 editors.

the only command not used in my tune is attack, and volume.
and it has no sync/ringmod etc.

just made to show how a tune comes to life.

I make the tune completely in Renoise and then convert it with a PC prg by Roland Hermans to his C64 player with very basic instruments. The prg recognizes if a track is used more than once. It makes arpeggios of 2 or more notes played at the same time in 1 track and all instruments are put with name in the generated asm file.
Very handy but sometimes some ideas sound good in RNS but not so good on SID so you have to adapt the asm file.
Maybe if you use QuadraSID:

You get better results. Anyone has it for me?
I make all my SIDs now on pc with Notepad to edit and VICE to play.
