Uploaded the ACME source code including preconditioned gfx data for this small demo. Wanted to do it way earlier but it wasn't possible until today.

I just found out that we totally forgot to place greetings in this release (seems we know how to "never rule" >:). Please take our apologies for this and feel greeted right now - we adore all of you still active C64-sceners!

Yeah - a T.O.M. release again! I always loved you, guys! And SoniC seems to be quite active again, too - cool. Nice work, copyfault and prince!

Hah, progess! \o/ 8) First thought on how to get a better example pic: Use the MUIFLI parts of Mufflon with all the deinterlace tricks, colormatching etc to generate 2 (non-muifli) 16 col pictures, then pass these through your converter. That would be the perfect unison of all the three gfx-mode crazy parties! ;-D As for FPPing it: I'd sure like to see a standard bitmap FPP first of all (no stretcher, no identical bitpattern!) 8)))

Interesting experiment. Thumbs up to that.
Having a looked and looked again, I’m struggling to see what I am looking at.

I like it!!! Yes, interlace is no problem in this mode, no additional tweaks required, just a bank switch and slight modification to vic display routine. The full length however is a great addition. I do have another mode that will be coming up at some stage which is full screen (including all borders) quality comparable to my MR-FLI mode but not using FLI at all! Alternatively omitting the sideborders gives an interlaced image without using any additional processing time to update the vic registers.
Nice proof of concept to utilise all lines!
The other issue with Mucsu-fli is that it does not really offer that much quality improvement when interlacing (in comparison with other interlaced modes). For non-interlaced, it is great and now in 200 pixels!!!

Thanks for your comments and for the suggestions! Obviously we put the main focus on code in this release (see Production Notes for details).

FPP and funky stuff will be a bit hard - one would be tempted to use the phrase "impossible" :) But I'm all with you that we have to improve the gfx quality to give the mode the justice it deserves. Let's see if I'll find some time.

Nice to see! I like Prince's special world of details, unfortunately the cut doesn't give justice to his artwork. I hope Algorithm will finalize an editor for many of his interesting modes later on. Or Copyfault for that matter.

No real eye-pr0n but inspiring from a coder's perspective.

what enthusi said - nice PoC code, but the picture sucks and doesnt really demonstrate the gfx mode well at all (large parts would probably work as ordinary interlaced afli).

now make a fpp and/or stretcher with this =)

Always nice to test new stuff (even though Im not big fan of interlace), but why such an hard-to-recognize-anything test-picture? or is it just me? Keep em coming :)

A small proof-of-concept-release featuring an interlaced version of MUCSU FLI - with full 200 rasterlines FLI+Sprites.
