Magic: It's not professional to try to manipulate answers in an interview, and it's about opinions, and honesty is the scene way. What you tried to do is manipulation. I understand that you are biased as it is "your" demo, and that you did not like the answers you got. But that is life. Sorry. And yes. I have been a professional editor and editor-in-chief for years.

And re: my answer to Jazzcat. My answer to him was meant to sound just like that. I tried some humour. Maybe I failed. :D

@raistlin i send u a PM now to talk this through.. no idea why you write such negative, inaccurate, not true things and bring it with such attitude.. :/ definately not the scene way..

disk mag wars in 2024! Funny to read! :-)

@Magic: it’s 100% accurate, actually. I kept screenshots of our Messenger conversation. I pulled my reviews from VN because I have integrity - it’s misleading to anyone reading VN if you manipulate the reviews IMO.

@hedning your message reads like a formal complaint reaction from a company.. :-)

Jazzcat: You know there is a PM function in CSDb? But yes they were deleted as they made no sense anymore, as the file in question was removed.

Hedning: I ask about the comments here by Ian and yourself, were they deleted?

Dear Jazzcat,

I trust this correspondence finds you well. I would like to offer some clarification with regard to your recent comment. While I appreciate the sentiment that certain matters may be considered private, it is pertinent to elucidate that the comments in question were incongruous due to the fact that the SID file under discussion underwent addition and subsequent removal after only two downloads.

It is imperative to note that the version in question deviates from the one featured in the magazine. Both iterations, however, are slated for inclusion in the High Voltage SID Collection (HVSC).

I trust this clarification addresses any potential misunderstanding, and I remain at your disposal should further details be required.

Yours sincerely,
hedning

@Magic: I wrote reviews for VN as you know - but you suggested to edit them to make the Metaverse review sound more positive. “Post as is or not at all”. I can’t support a disk mag that tries to distort its writers’ comments.

We talked about whether to write about this in Propa - but decided it wouldn’t be professional. Interesting that you would bring it up ;)

Still think there is to less article content.. I was done reading all and there were some sids left to listen to!
I was expecting some demo reviews by Raistlin to :)

Also it's fairly easy to collect fresh news instead of publishing/report what happened in 2023 in the same style.

Besides that keep up the good work! Quality diskmag!

Well done issue with some interesting texts and a neat intro.

I wasnt able to properly follow/understand some of the texts related to the Excess/TREX/Quantum "drama" though. Might have been due to a language barrier or is there a wiki somewhere which I missed?

I know all people involved did the best and the result is evident, nobody is blaming, on the other hand, this quality is spoiling and we wish for more ;)

MCM, and ian: The idea was always to have issues more often, and we still aim for that. We'll try our best. Cheers!

Great issue, sweet intro and sids ! Really nice stuff to read. Great that shadow was honored in such a heartwarming text. Some more issues in a shorter period would be perfect for me too.

1 side mag would be perfect for a monthly, bimonthly mag.
From a 1-a-year mag I expect something more to read.
Awesome mag in every aspect nonetheless. 10/10

I know that I “worked” on this but, honestly, this is my favourite issue yet. The writing quality is just perfect and, honestly, this is the absolute perfect size for a disk mag (it always has been).

Three thumbs up from me.

I appreciate everything about this magazine. As DKT said, the line spacing makes it so much more readable.

I'm really amazed how disk magazines look like nowadays. I don't read to much disk mags and not every magazine released, but this issue looks really nice with distance between lines, with adjusted text with coloured keywords which let you find interesting information faster. Great gfx, good articles. Nice article about Shadow, he was a great scener and nice person. Love all the music, nice to have number written on top if you don't remember which key to press for another tune ;)
Kudos.

Super high quality articles here, very little of the clunkiness that often blights the text in diskmags. Impressed! Thanks for the interesting reading material, and for the lovely tributes to Shadow.

Really good issue. Especially liked the article about the Gary Lineker game Triad found and fixed. And very nice written and touching memorial article of Shadow. How it began with showing the area on a map of sweden and the scene context he came from was a detail that really explained his origins as a scener. Excellent job.

El Jefe: That's why we don't call them "News". Look at it as a report, and hopefully they are more worth in the years to come when we look back. I think the mag's "news" is a form of archive.

nice intro and sids.

It feels a bit boring to read through news that are already well-spread in the scene, but i guess this is something every diskmag has to deal with nowadays.

I would rather wish for light editions of diskmags including live party-reports and being released at live events or shortly after it.

The Quantum story ... oh my! :D
