Thank you Jak T Rip! It was great fun most of the time. :) | User Comment Submitted by Jak T Rip on 28 December 2018
And what a lineup! Edhellon, Oswald, Morpheus, JonEgg, The Sarge... great to see you contributing at Censor station. | User Comment Submitted by Jak T Rip on 28 December 2018
I'll admit it: I love Star Wars! I was caught at the first moment, censor design is SW style just sits. Great to see censorish allusions to certain musical artists in here. | User Comment Submitted by Kronos on 6 December 2018
Just showed this demo to my 9 old years son, who's a great star wars fan. More than approved guys. | User Comment Submitted by Maxlide on 24 November 2018
Dwangi on 14 November 2018:
Not a big starwars fan, but nice demo. A mixture of humour and great effects.
STONE HIM! | User Comment Submitted by Raistlin on 23 November 2018
Still an AWESOME demo even all these days later.. so long, it feels like so long since X now :'( ... we have to go back, Kate, we .. have.. to.. go.. back.
Given all the parts that were planned but not made, according to the Production Notes, I should change my "10" vote to a 9 until you release a 101% version with all of them included. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 23 November 2018
Bob: I am secretly in love with you. | User Comment Submitted by Bob on 23 November 2018
Extensive credits and notes have been added in Production Notes | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 15 November 2018
Great demo with a lovely end tune! | User Comment Submitted by Dwangi on 14 November 2018
Not a big starwars fan, but nice demo. A mixture of humour and great effects. | User Comment Submitted by Magic on 13 November 2018
"Fear leads to anger, anger leads to suffering" Yoda says..
There is much darkside in this demo but I love it! The sid star wars music to the gfx to the specialist c64 code.. to the project management.. a job wel done! I pull my hat and send my warm greetings to the whole Censor crew specially Bob, Magnar, Lavazza, LMan! | User Comment Submitted by Rock on 13 November 2018
Awesome and funny as well. I love this demo :) | User Comment Submitted by Saphir on 11 November 2018
Quite a cool production :) | User Comment Submitted by Steel on 10 November 2018
awesome this is. music very much i like.... will not forget the Moment Bob screaming up beside me:"its doooooonnneee" during the music compo :) | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 10 November 2018
Only now i have the chance to comment about this wonderful and insightful demo. the Cantina (for its just a bar!) part is so delicious with a great sense of humor and just earworm music just i can't pull out of my mind . the rest are too good to be true as like this color-cycle diagonal ribbons OMG! it is again! super advanced demo from every part of it , from every single byte of it . top notch of Coding , gfx , music (wow!!) and concept by Morpheus. thanks "gods" of C64 and see you at X'20! plus: it was nice of talking of some you guyz and the guy i met on Amsterdam on Sunday who i don't remember his handle now | User Comment Submitted by Magnar on 10 November 2018
I believe it is possible to fit the first diskside within normal 35 track floppydisk instead of the current 40-track solution. In the end, we just didn't have the time to fix it. If we do a 100% final later version, then such things might change for the better. Internal discussions are on-going about that. Cheers ;) | User Comment Submitted by lbp on 9 November 2018
cant get the music from death star canteen out of my head. earworm. love it. | User Comment Submitted by Viscid on 9 November 2018
What a nice journey with good placed jokes... yeah. Needs 35+ Tracks to run in the emu or sticks on Leia'snew album advert. Not the worst way to get stuck ;) | User Comment Submitted by Axis/Oxyron on 8 November 2018
Congratz guys. I´ve always been more a trekkie then star wars fan, but the force is strong in this one. So much love and effort was put inside. The music works great for me. And this demo shows, we need more humor in the scene.
But now enough of that star wars stuff, I want Wonderland XIV in 2020. | User Comment Submitted by ChristopherJam on 7 November 2018
Wow, that was epic. Loved that soundtrack, right from the Vader breath at the beginning.
It was perhaps slightly better paced on side one than side two? But that's a fairly minor quibble. Nice use of full screen sprite masks in a couple of places.
Loved the Rebel Rebel mashup!
ps Bjørn, Luke always was a whiny git, right from the start of ANH ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Digger on 7 November 2018
@Bob: That quadruple VSP animated parallax scene with fast rewind! True ballz! | User Comment Submitted by 6R6 on 7 November 2018
Nice meeting you again Bob and NiM.
What a great journey of effects, graphics, and music. Especially the last music piece touched me. | User Comment Submitted by Dr.Science on 7 November 2018
Congratulations on this one! Wow, Millenium Falcon never felt that cool! The flying through the clouds. The cantina part. And that Color-Cycle-Ribbon part! Awesome! Fantastic code, stunning graphics and fresh interpretation of the music! Thank you for this one - loved every second of it! | User Comment Submitted by psych on 7 November 2018
What a ride! When I watch such productions I think we should have a separate award for the demo soundtrack ;)
Great effort. Thanks to all involved! | User Comment Submitted by Bob on 7 November 2018
well seems that our QA department got drunk and missed out several groups etc.. we need to sober them up ;) | User Comment Submitted by OMP on 7 November 2018
Awesome demo, guys - congratulations! :)
Looking forward to seeing it again - wearing head-phones.
However, who is PROSONIC? Is that another group, or did you just commit the biggest mistake since Barabas was let off the hook…? :D | User Comment Submitted by Clarence on 6 November 2018
The highlight for me is surely the voxelscape flight by Oswald, that looks so nice. Makes me even forget the omission of a starwars upscroller effect. :) | User Comment Submitted by Pex Mahoney Tufvesson on 6 November 2018
I love the effects! I love the effort! I love the flow! I love the code pr0n! However, I am personally having difficulties with loving the theme, which includes the humour, music and graphics. I'm split. | User Comment Submitted by BjørnRøstøen on 6 November 2018
It seems to me, Bob, that you´ve been waiting so long for a successor to Trick And Treat that you decided to make it yourself. The amount of pixels is heavy in this one. And what pixels they are. You even managed to convince master Jon to lay you a golden one. I told him you have a ferocious appetite for pixels, and this demo drives that point home in a big way. Everybody did a great job!
Being in a group of sid snobs, I partook in a conversation here the other day about whether or not John Williams would concur with the degree of improvisational freedom taken with the musical arrangements. Regardless, I quite like the way the music moves the demo steadily forward at a manic march kind of pace.
That cycling animation part with that ribbon being slung across the screen in front of that rotating globe, That was a truly ecstatic moment for me. Outstanding!
Just as I thought my interest for Star Wars had dwindled close to being non existent, after seeing what a whining wimp Luke had turned into, Censor comes blazing onto the scene reinflating my enthusiasm to as of yet unseen proportions. Bravo. I can now stomach the next serving of eyecandy laced Disney tripe.
Congratulations on your achievement! | User Comment Submitted by Hein on 6 November 2018
The theme. You couldn't have picked a more milked theme than this. Still, so many nice references and effects. The music is great, I think it's super difficult to bring those compositions to SID. | User Comment Submitted by DKT on 5 November 2018
We are Star Wars generation \o/
The effect I like the most in the demo is Millennium Falcon flying through the clouds. Awesome!
The part with Jabba's palace is cool, too :) Funny moments in the demo gives the same feeling as the original Star Wars movie had :)
Overall music and gfx is fab! | User Comment Submitted by iceout on 5 November 2018
The character font is extremely well done. | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 5 November 2018
very much awesome! superb code, flow, design, graphics, soundtrack.
couple fav moments, the breathing at the very start, the tie-fighters and that exceptional sound fully blended in the demo.
That next level colorcycling part, omfg, best one yet, followed by that overlay sunrays thing, seriously awesome.
Though I agree with some of the criticism on the subject matter, only way I could truly appreciate another star wars demo is if there's a scene where mickey mouse gets slain by darth vader or something. f*ck disney ;)
Deserved to win, but it's also a lucky win, considering the tiny tiny advantage over Bonzai. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 5 November 2018
I'm personally dead tired of Star Wars thingies, so the theme does not turn me on, but man, that aside: this demo has some massive effort put into it - a narrative, humour, bad ass coding and music and gfx to the moon and back. Great job, guys. Looking forward to more candy! Love! | User Comment Submitted by LMan on 5 November 2018
Censor loves Bonzai too <3 sorry again! | User Comment Submitted by Linus on 5 November 2018
The force is strong in this one. I am pretty sure it would have ranked higher on csdb if you had gone for a different concept. Either way, insane work, guys. Congratz! | User Comment Submitted by Trap on 5 November 2018
Awesome demo guys! Very entertaining .. and yes, I love Star Wars too. Conceptually a little bit worn out if you ask me, but there's no doubt this is a labor of love. Thank you for the countless hours of work.
Just two things ...
Missing Bonzai in the greetings - still waiting for you guys to rectify that huge mistake ;)
Also, how could you possibly have missed the obvious "it's a trap" joke? <3
... Bonzai loves Censor ... | User Comment Submitted by redcrab on 5 November 2018
I do like that space bar idea! :)
Amazing stuff | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 5 November 2018
That's been fun to watch. Great work!
My fav was the cantina part. I fell off the chair :) | User Comment Submitted by Ramon B5 on 5 November 2018
This weekend was an amazeballs awesomesauce releases and this was one of them. Feels like Hallowgivingmas, thank you for all the great work. | User Comment Submitted by Raistlin on 4 November 2018
Awesome demo - congrats guys!
I don’t know what’s happening with the CSDB voting on this though... #56 as I write this..? It feels definitely like some people must be downvoting?
For me this and the Bonzai demo were level. Both were equally amazing in all disciplines. Some very nice parts in this one - and it’s clear that a lot of hard work and passion was put in.
A++ | User Comment Submitted by Smasher on 4 November 2018
the force is strong with this one! | User Comment Submitted by phreedh on 4 November 2018
Lovely! Would have been even greater if my main machine had been 100% VSP safe... =) | User Comment Submitted by aNdy on 4 November 2018
And the Carrie Fisher 8bit image at the end of 'side 1' before flip disk looks a lot more like her than the CGI rendered shite in Rogue One... | User Comment Submitted by Clarence on 4 November 2018 User Comment Submitted by Mixer on 4 November 2018
Some very beautiful arrangements of the Star Wars themes and funny moments. The end scroller tune is just perfect. | User Comment Submitted by DAM on 4 November 2018
Superb demo and what a soundtrack. | User Comment Submitted by TheTom on 4 November 2018 User Comment Submitted by TPM on 4 November 2018
very good demo, only little disturbed by the missing inner shadow in the S and R of big the starwars pic. Enjoyed the demo very much! Thumbs up! | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 4 November 2018
Very nice! Several tunes caught my attention (so did the routines & gfx). The sweatest is the one at the ending, gosh! | User Comment Submitted by Merman on 4 November 2018
Superb demo... Would have got a 10 from me if that end scroller had been in true Star Wars style... | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 4 November 2018
Forgot to add I totally love majority of Williams' covers! Total ownage in crunching all his arrangement and details into 3 channels. | User Comment Submitted by awsm on 4 November 2018
At first I thought that the Star Wars theme might have worn off a bit recently, but there's so much freshness in this prod it amazes me. The music remixes alone are out of this world. <3 | User Comment Submitted by Knight Rider on 4 November 2018
Very nice demo. I would have liked to see a .D81 too so avoid disk changing and TheC64mini compatability | User Comment Submitted by F7sus4 on 4 November 2018
Great production, very good art direction. | User Comment Submitted by TheTom on 4 November 2018 User Comment Submitted by TheTom on 4 November 2018 User Comment Submitted by TheTom on 4 November 2018 User Comment Submitted by Raistlin on 4 November 2018
Fantastic demo and a deserved winner. Amazing stuff! | User Comment Submitted by grip on 4 November 2018
Very polished. Above all, this is a funny and very entertaining production. Love the various pop culture references in the bar scene! | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 4 November 2018
