I'll admit it: I love Star Wars! I was caught at the first moment, censor design is SW style just sits. Great to see censorish allusions to certain musical artists in here.

Not a big starwars fan, but nice demo. A mixture of humour and great effects.

Still an AWESOME demo even all these days later.. so long, it feels like so long since X now :'( ... we have to go back, Kate, we .. have.. to.. go.. back.

Given all the parts that were planned but not made, according to the Production Notes, I should change my "10" vote to a 9 until you release a 101% version with all of them included.

There is much darkside in this demo but I love it! The sid star wars music to the gfx to the specialist c64 code.. to the project management.. a job wel done! I pull my hat and send my warm greetings to the whole Censor crew specially Bob, Magnar, Lavazza, LMan!

Only now i have the chance to comment about this wonderful and insightful demo. the Cantina (for its just a bar!) part is so delicious with a great sense of humor and just earworm music just i can't pull out of my mind . the rest are too good to be true as like this color-cycle diagonal ribbons OMG! it is again! super advanced demo from every part of it , from every single byte of it . top notch of Coding , gfx , music (wow!!) and concept by Morpheus. thanks "gods" of C64 and see you at X'20! plus: it was nice of talking of some you guyz and the guy i met on Amsterdam on Sunday who i don't remember his handle now

I believe it is possible to fit the first diskside within normal 35 track floppydisk instead of the current 40-track solution. In the end, we just didn't have the time to fix it. If we do a 100% final later version, then such things might change for the better. Internal discussions are on-going about that. Cheers ;)

What a nice journey with good placed jokes... yeah. Needs 35+ Tracks to run in the emu or sticks on Leia'snew album advert. Not the worst way to get stuck ;)

Congratz guys. I´ve always been more a trekkie then star wars fan, but the force is strong in this one. So much love and effort was put inside. The music works great for me. And this demo shows, we need more humor in the scene.

But now enough of that star wars stuff, I want Wonderland XIV in 2020.

Wow, that was epic. Loved that soundtrack, right from the Vader breath at the beginning.

It was perhaps slightly better paced on side one than side two? But that's a fairly minor quibble. Nice use of full screen sprite masks in a couple of places.

Loved the Rebel Rebel mashup!

ps Bjørn, Luke always was a whiny git, right from the start of ANH ;-)

Congratulations on this one! Wow, Millenium Falcon never felt that cool! The flying through the clouds. The cantina part. And that Color-Cycle-Ribbon part! Awesome! Fantastic code, stunning graphics and fresh interpretation of the music! Thank you for this one - loved every second of it!

Awesome demo, guys - congratulations! :)

Looking forward to seeing it again - wearing head-phones.

However, who is PROSONIC? Is that another group, or did you just commit the biggest mistake since Barabas was let off the hook…? :D

The highlight for me is surely the voxelscape flight by Oswald, that looks so nice. Makes me even forget the omission of a starwars upscroller effect. :)

I love the effects! I love the effort! I love the flow! I love the code pr0n! However, I am personally having difficulties with loving the theme, which includes the humour, music and graphics. I'm split.

It seems to me, Bob, that you´ve been waiting so long for a successor to Trick And Treat that you decided to make it yourself. The amount of pixels is heavy in this one. And what pixels they are. You even managed to convince master Jon to lay you a golden one. I told him you have a ferocious appetite for pixels, and this demo drives that point home in a big way. Everybody did a great job!

Being in a group of sid snobs, I partook in a conversation here the other day about whether or not John Williams would concur with the degree of improvisational freedom taken with the musical arrangements. Regardless, I quite like the way the music moves the demo steadily forward at a manic march kind of pace.

That cycling animation part with that ribbon being slung across the screen in front of that rotating globe, That was a truly ecstatic moment for me. Outstanding!

Just as I thought my interest for Star Wars had dwindled close to being non existent, after seeing what a whining wimp Luke had turned into, Censor comes blazing onto the scene reinflating my enthusiasm to as of yet unseen proportions. Bravo. I can now stomach the next serving of eyecandy laced Disney tripe.

Congratulations on your achievement!

The theme. You couldn't have picked a more milked theme than this. Still, so many nice references and effects. The music is great, I think it's super difficult to bring those compositions to SID.

We are Star Wars generation \o/
The effect I like the most in the demo is Millennium Falcon flying through the clouds. Awesome!
The part with Jabba's palace is cool, too :) Funny moments in the demo gives the same feeling as the original Star Wars movie had :)
Overall music and gfx is fab!

very much awesome! superb code, flow, design, graphics, soundtrack.
couple fav moments, the breathing at the very start, the tie-fighters and that exceptional sound fully blended in the demo.
That next level colorcycling part, omfg, best one yet, followed by that overlay sunrays thing, seriously awesome.
Though I agree with some of the criticism on the subject matter, only way I could truly appreciate another star wars demo is if there's a scene where mickey mouse gets slain by darth vader or something. f*ck disney ;)

Deserved to win, but it's also a lucky win, considering the tiny tiny advantage over Bonzai.

I'm personally dead tired of Star Wars thingies, so the theme does not turn me on, but man, that aside: this demo has some massive effort put into it - a narrative, humour, bad ass coding and music and gfx to the moon and back. Great job, guys. Looking forward to more candy! Love!

Awesome demo guys! Very entertaining .. and yes, I love Star Wars too. Conceptually a little bit worn out if you ask me, but there's no doubt this is a labor of love. Thank you for the countless hours of work.
Just two things ...
Missing Bonzai in the greetings - still waiting for you guys to rectify that huge mistake ;)
Also, how could you possibly have missed the obvious "it's a trap" joke? <3

... Bonzai loves Censor ...

Awesome demo - congrats guys!

I don’t know what’s happening with the CSDB voting on this though... #56 as I write this..? It feels definitely like some people must be downvoting?

For me this and the Bonzai demo were level. Both were equally amazing in all disciplines. Some very nice parts in this one - and it’s clear that a lot of hard work and passion was put in.

A++

At first I thought that the Star Wars theme might have worn off a bit recently, but there's so much freshness in this prod it amazes me. The music remixes alone are out of this world. <3
