Didn't notice this until now. I love it! | User Comment Submitted by Walt on 19 January 2019
@ChristopherJam: Just for the fun of it i tried to split the REU file into 50KB chunks and use SPINDLE to create the disks. It takes up 23 disksides.
I do not know of any 16 MB REUs which does not facilitate loading REU files from some storage medium.
Could you please enlighten me and let me know which hardware configuration you have in mind that would require a D64 version (both REU and IEC hardware) ? | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 18 January 2019
great work Bonzai ! love everything that Drax is doing and releasing. so much passion and love to the commodore 64 community | User Comment Submitted by ChristopherJam on 17 January 2019
A most excellent tribute. Nice work!
so - when's the .d64 release? 10 sides should do it, shouldn't take more than five or six minutes to load and decrunch all the data.. | User Comment Submitted by Trash on 17 January 2019
Love it, I am a big fan of Bottom, The Young Ones and Bonzai so: Smooth animations, great tunes and wonderful concept and also RIP Rik... | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 17 January 2019
Very entertaining! And also R.I.P. Rik Mayall from me. | User Comment Submitted by DRAX on 16 January 2019 User Comment Submitted by Rock on 16 January 2019
Awesome stuff and great to hear new music from you Drax, super! | User Comment Submitted by Mr.Ammo on 16 January 2019
Nice little demo!!
The user comments here almost read like a support forum for Vice users! ;-) | User Comment Submitted by The Phantom on 16 January 2019
Can I vote another 10?
Really good work from all involved..
And that youtube video sucks. I wouldn't dare show this amazing work off with that link.. Nice effort though :) | User Comment Submitted by DRAX on 16 January 2019 User Comment Submitted by Raistlin on 16 January 2019
Since the command line args for VICE were posted, is it worth adding a .bat file to the zip? | User Comment Submitted by psych on 16 January 2019
Awesome!
@Drax - great to hear new stuff from you and thanks for the tip ;) much appreciated! | User Comment Submitted by DRAX on 16 January 2019
Thanks Sascha for directing attention to that crappy version of Bottom :) I hope there'll be another one up :) ... I must admit I hadn't myself much experience running these REU-thingies, so here is a quick recipe for Winvice:
1) Go to Settings => Cartridge / IO settings, choose REU Settings
2) Enable the Ram Expansion Unit + choose REU size to 16384 browse for the bottom.reu and choose it
3) Drag then the prg-file of the demo to winvice
remember to choose the correct sid chip (8580).
It was really delightful meeting with some of the bonzists (Dize, Trap and Walt) - it was pure fun :) | User Comment Submitted by DivertigO on 16 January 2019 User Comment Submitted by celticdesign on 16 January 2019 User Comment Submitted by The Phantom on 16 January 2019
Really nice animation sequences here (what?! No youtube video?! I have people wanting to see new c64 stuff!!!)...
I had no issues attaching the reu image, or even running it on Vice 2.4.
Amazing... | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 16 January 2019
Nice one. Took me some time to figure out how to load.
x64sc -reu -reusize 16384 -reuimage Bottom.REU -autostart Bottom\ Tribute\ by\ Bonzai\ \(REU\ only\).prg | User Comment Submitted by Cruzer on 16 January 2019
Awesome! Very fluid animation. Nice detail how after I had adjusted the REU settings in Vice and loaded the file while the blank screen after the intro was running, the REU part started without having to reload. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 16 January 2019 User Comment Submitted by Perplex on 15 January 2019
Very cool release! Loved that show back in the days. | User Comment Submitted by Mclane on 15 January 2019
Loaded fine on the latest Winvice which I hate the reverb when closing!!
Just don't do what I did for 10 mins and forget to enable the REU device, picked the file and size but forgot to enable it..No more white screen..V Nice..Mayall was a B'stard in real life, used to park across the disabled bay in Sainsburys Chiswick in his huge old merc..
Totally true and did it loads.. | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 15 January 2019
wtf? streaming to 3fff ? but love it even without the technicalities :) | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 15 January 2019
Joe: Moloch saved the day, not me. :D | User Comment Submitted by Raistlin on 15 January 2019
Wow, great work guys! What better way to use REU than with some new Bottom product?
Rik Mayall RIP :'-( ... one of our greatest. | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 15 January 2019

Lame question: How the F can I load that .REU file? Thought it was through the inspector but it can only save the REU file. Oh... that was actually it ;) | User Comment Submitted by Walt on 15 January 2019 User Comment Submitted by Joe on 15 January 2019
:D
