Lamb: It's just a very demanding loader. As with all demos running Krill's excellent loader, some worn out drives simply can't handle the heat. I have a whole bunch of drives of different flavours that work just fine with demos using his loader (including Revolved which I have tested extensively on real drives).

But, I also have a bunch of drives that refuse to cope with Krill's loader. Most of those drives report too low read speeds when I test them, or vary greatly up and down. On those, I can't run demos using Krill's loader at all. They crash, or get garbled gfx sooner or later. Still, they can run other, less demanding loaders so it's not like they are terribly busted or so.

Does anybody else got a problem with the demo hanging up on real C64 right after REVOLVED title disappears? Tested with approx. 10 different C64s and 1541-IIs with no positive result. No cartridge, plain basic start. Backcopy from 1541-II to D64 image works fine on VICE, so it's not a transferring issue and I highly doubt I have so many hardware fucked up as well.

For me, music for the demo is 70% of the demo entertainment fulfill. I've seen many great demos with bad music, not to good demos with great music. Revolved entertained me for 200% mostly because of the music, but gfx&code is great either.

Great transitions and choice of colours, good effects and soundtrack. One of the best demos this year.

I have been seriously 2F'd... wOw! What a neat demo! The design and the music are awesome and the demo features the best ever brownish pic I've seeen so far! (ra-jas blancas I believe?) And it is great to see so many coders able to cooperate and blend into one like this. Kudos!
This is one of the demos I will watch more often.

Yes, I downvoted it since music takes more than 63 cycles.

This rocks alot! Great demo.

I'm a bit confused that someone voted 1 on this release though. Must have been someone who slipped on their keyboard ;)

Good music, perfect design. I like the raster effects the most. Yes, I know there actually was a lot of them if you include the transitions.

A little chunky pixels in the TRIAD-logo around 06:00, maybe?

Unbelievable smooth and polished demo. Heavily reminds me of Edge of Disgrace. Perhaps its just the music, but also the transition work seems to be inspired by EOD. But that is nothing bad at all.
And the circle parallax screen looks awesome.

Good to have Triad back, making great demos ! Very stylish, polished and I was taken by surprise :)
Some cool effect there too, some will say its EoD light or whatever. I dont think so, its on its own and you made it happen.

Great work, Congratulations, you deserved the win :)

If I didn't know this is from Triad, I'd say it's a Booze demo with a design by Sanderfocus. ;-)

Anyway, it's an interesting experiment and obviously required real effort to make it so consistent. The difference between EoD and this is that EoD had effects and transitions between them, while this one only has transitions. :-) That's not a bad thing, since the transitions are pretty cool. However, I think it was a bad idea to have Dane's EoD-ish music, since this makes it to have kind of "poor man's EoD" feeling.

But still, thumbs up for the effort!

Extremely nice put together demo! Very good flow and transitions with nice graphic and very cool routines! Dane's song track is excellent, but it makes me feel like I am watching a new Booze Design release, and not a Triad release. A bit confusing thought, but it is still high-top-notch-quality! Congrats with the #1 place!

Mixed feelings! It's very polished and stylish; I can see Überdesignführer Twoflower had a field day with this one. Obvious amount of effort pulling the whole thing together codewise, but the actual effects are somewhat lacking. Also, with 17 members currently listed as active in TRIAD, including four musicians, I think it's kind of a strange choice to turn to a Booze Design member for the soundtrack.

Now *this* is what a c64 demo is supposed to be like! Fast paced, interesting transitions, awesome effects, stylish graphics and upbeat music.

My only gripe is that the intro made me feel like I was watching a ripoff of "The Wild Bunch", but I was happily surprised to see something even more awesome. (not saying TWB isn't cool, just saying I like this more ;_))

My #1 from the compo! All fits very well together. Desing, transitions, music and colors.. Yes, some of those killer effects are missing, but it really doesn't matter much when everything fits so well!

equally good with the 2nd place demo. this demo has very smooth transitions which is a very hard thing to do. but missing thing was the killer demo effects. in 2013, you really need one or two at least. still very polished. congratulations.

What to say more than this is a winner! Love at first sight. The effects are awesome, the design is perfect, along with synced transisions and a brutal demosoundtrack! What can go wrong beside lack of sleep, overdose of code, optimized player, hell in tracker.... :)
Congratulations for making another awesome c-64 Demo!
