Code 64

Hey ppl!

Yesterday night I came across a song by Code 64 in an Industrial Radio.

I heared a song so much fulfilled of romantic power, like if a passionate fell-in-love guy i writing a love letter to his new love.

Completeley Ghey I know, but somehow this Track helped me to "let go", if you know what i mean. :)

Check it, hope you like the uberexpressive bassline.

They have another video, called "Go 64", I wonder if the have created the Sid sounds themselves, or if it's a stealed SID :) Maybe you can name me the sid, if that is so.

Was this group discussed before in the Forum? Didn't find anything about them.

Love, and sweet drops of my spit in your mouth.

Arman

(i'm an electro junkie :P)

I also gotta say, to Jan and that, proper analogue synths sound AMAZING compared to these virtual-analogue thangs...do urself a favour and get a proper analogue synth (i've seen ur web-page jan and seen that u use a virtual thing). Absolutely no substitute man.. serious!!!!!!
Aint nothin sound like the real thing to my ears. If you were doing "integration" on a Roland Jupiter!! maaaan you'd know the difference BIG time! Analogue is the best compared to any virtual clone thang! Integration would sound 100% better.

I've got some half-arsed, quickly-jammed analogue stuff on my website http://www.allthingselectric.co.uk. Not much song structure goin on, but u can feel the analogue vibe.

You are very right about the analogue synths. I totally agree with you.
Since i have my JX8P i don't touch any VST anymore.
I would even go so far to say that almost ANY hardware synth sound better than VSTs.

Nice list of gear you have there btw.
Oh, and thanks for posting this two great electro tracks.

while analogue synths might sound more organic than virtual analogues the flexibility and workflow (atleast for me) of the virtual ones is improved so much that the marginal loss in sound quality is not so important. there are lots and lots of vst:s that sound great, and so does Jan's Virus which kicks the JX8P:s ass anyday ;)

I shouldda taken a chill pill when I wrote that about analogue/virtual; too long a convo in itself. The Virus does rokK indeed.

I thought you referred to VST software synths, sorry.
I don't have anything against virtual analogue hardware synths. With the Yamaha AN200 i have one myself.
About the kicking ass issue, do you really want to compare a synth from 1984 with a modern virus that costs multiple times more? Ah, whatever...

Yes, I do refer to soft synths and yes I also refer to virtual analogues. I stand by the fact that an analogue synth from ~1984 DOES sound better for certain sounds. f.e you can't compare a Virus with a Jupiter 8, Prophet 5, Oberheim, etc.
But that aint the dispute for some people. It's convenience over sound.
I also like the sound of the digital yamaha dx9, dx7, etc, where the sounds of the converters come in to effect.
This is all highly subjective though and so I should really stfu about it any further.
