Think before you release here at CSDb
Afval and I made a small mistake releasing Kuh Melking Preview because a few hours later we found out that this preview was actually a part of OstFriesland Games.
Even as a fake group we have our standards (and yes, quality control) so we decided to withdraw the release and delete it from CSDb.
Yesterday the release was recovered by the moderators and it re-appeared in the release list.
Why? Well, in their (the mods) opinion a release can't be deleted after it was released.
It sounds logical but...it was OUR (Hema + Troep) decision to withdraw OUR release!
We tried to convince them but they seem to ignore us.
So think before you release here at CSDb; as soon as you click that submit-button it's property of Perff and his henchmen. |

As I see it, Kuh Melking Preview shall remain on CSDb as an eternal patch on your shameless act of despair :)
No seriously, we have seen much worse things here, actually I don't mind at all. Nor should you, I guess... |

I second this lady of fast food instead :) If a group decide to remove one of thier releases I think it's up to them... |

What is on CSDb is in not the property of me or anyone else as such. :) Everything here is the "property" of the collective scene.
My oppinion about this is, that if someone releases something somewhere, that could be here at CSDb, uploading to some other web or FTP-site, spreading it on a party, or whatever, what was released is now out there and can't technically be withdrawn. (How would do that?) So what was released has now become a part of the collective scene.
CSDb tries do document as much as possible about this collective scene, and therefore the release should be here.
Personally I don't care if a release was deleted by the people who added it, but you can not expect it not to show up again later when someone stumbles across their local copy, and then adds it to CSDb, so why bother to delete it in the first place? |

At first I didn't give it much thought, but I agree with Perff.
What if you had released it by sending it by mail, on a floppy?
You can't call the postman and say: "Hey, please get my floppy back from the person who I sent it to." |

Yeah, drag in the postman! Hell, bring in the pigeon and the empty bottle.
I'm talking about how OUR release was done (ie. uploaded here on CSDb) and about Perff & co. are falsifying scene-history by restoring the entry.
So please, pretty please with sugar on top: remove the entry.
If somebody re-adds the release in the future, well...we'll see about it then. |

So you respond with "FUCK YOU PERFF" in the oneliners. Nice going there! You released it - now stand by it, you backboneless coward.
I recommend all the idiot asshole fake lamers be removed from CSDb. You are the ones who are ruining the scene. Screw you, imbecile!
PS. Of course I know I'm gonna get called a retard and a moron again for standing up for Perff, but I don't fkn care. Make my day...

I disagree but Perff and our German moderators know how I feel about this. Oh yeah I've quited my post here as moderator and will continue as trusted user.

Yeh I also disagree, if someone doesn't want their release on here it should be their choice alone whether they want it available here or not, ESPECIALLY when it was a mistake or error (or whatever) to release it in the first place.
FMan: thought you quit? Still the same friendly guy I see... |

If you don't want a release here, then you don't make it, simple as that. You can't turn back time and have the release undone, no matter how much you wish you could - it has been made, and it's already a historical fact. You could argue for removal of any download links, though. |
