Best trackers for classical sids

If one wants to recreate classical or film music like piece electronically, tempo controll is very important i guess because you need that loose beatless feel.

What would be good trackers to do pieces like this?

Is goattracker the tracker that grants most controll over the feel?

Thx

GT2 still allows only one command at a pattern step, if you need for example to change volume (sustain/release) and channel tempo at the same time, you need to take shortcuts like creating another instrument. Check the "Editor" section of HVMEC (digilander.libero.it/ice00/tsid/hvmec.html) for music editors where you specify each note duration explicitly.

It would be cool if it was possible to have more effect rows for one channel. (Similar to renoise on PC) :)
So it would be possible to program extremely complex effects.

i'm not that familiar with 'asterion sid tracker', but tunes made under that editor seem to control the tempo flow very well, even introducing rubato sometimes.

Rubato is tha shit :-)

It means there's no fixed tempo, instead solo performer chooses duration of notes by intuition, which usually comes down to streching down notes longer than they're written and speeding up and down to gain extra suspense.

Rubato's quite a useful effect to make "classical" music, although using too much of it could result in a large heap of memory for your tune (nearly over $2000 bytes sometimes :P). Tim Follin used quite a bit of rubato in his tunes aswell.

EMS 7 can, if memory serves, change tempo from the track editor and each channel runs independently of the others... but i'm not a musician so i don't know if that helps. =-)
