SIDs that aren't in HVSC yet: part III
I thought it was time to finally open the third part, as was discussed in part II already several posts before the recent ones IIRC. :)
For some reason, the bigger part of compo entries of Forever III is missing - I will enter the releases one by one at some point (if anyone feels motivated to help with that task, very welcome! CremD? ;-) , but someone can already check out the release disk e.g. here:
I'm Back . Should certainly yield a couple of additions. :-) |

The second tune in this demo is titled Reverb_01.sid, could be re-named to Birkenhead_2.sid, according to the other, Birkenhead_1.sid
It's possible to do, and also set it to 1990.
let's hope Outline wasn't released first. |

Quote: Just some conclusions:
X-Factor Intro credits a guy called Vortex as musician. But there is no other evidence about a X-Factor member or US guy of that nick in that era (1991) than that. Vortex is more likely the group Vortex who had the musician Deathangel's Shadow doing a tune for them in 1991 and his tunes sound similar to X-Factor Intro
but they say "vortex of x-factor for the music" in the scroller.
Would be nice to know if it was deathy, was he active in 1990? or is the crack Celluloid/XF dated wrong? dunno, it's like throwing dices.. |

@Coog: you are right about that X-Factor Intro, they are advertising Warez Domain BBS in that crack, which they also do in Back of the Future II of the same time, September/October 1990 . I'll add a Vortex single scener meanwhile. Warez Domain = The Viking's Citadel btw.
Then again Vortex could also have been US sub-group department of X-F, kinda like Exodus/NATO. I listened a bit more to that intro tune, not so much of DA's style like I thought in first place. Sounds more advanced than his later (annoying) Armageddon intro tunes.
Fire Eyes by Roy Batty (good composer) is from 1994's mini-demo Contact/Sinister, .sid file says 1997.

Rough: 16 tunes by Roy Batty including that one are release fixed in #57, the original sender in 1997 set them all to 1997 and no one so far checked them. |

Fire Eyes
Sad String
Ocean Rage
Terry (Roy Batty) composed these three tunes in 1994 for our group Sinister and only the one (Fire Eyes) was ever used in our releases.

when he composed them it's irrelevant, release year counts.
Sad String <- 1996
the other 2 are already set to 1994 being found in productions from that year.
