Composers' real life

Hi, 8bitters

I'm always wondering what the C64 composers are doing in real life, of course not their private lives but musical.

For example, I know that Reyn Ouwehand is a live instrumental musician, I'm very proud of it, but dunno about a lot others whom I rarely see on CSDB.

e.g. I've managed several times to get reply from Jeroen Tel, Shogoon, and I saw them with guitars on some pictures..and I'm very curious if they are playing in band or compose on other platforms, etc.

I love Cosmic and its alternative bass and also wondering during listening if Stainless Steel is a funky-musician.

If you have news about them to share with us, or if you are a composer and want to tell about your activities, it's the topic I think.
This can help us by knowing where they got the influences/motivation from, how they could make these great compositions.

E.g. I'm mainly a bass player & singer, I have a pop-band, but my best dream is to play in a C64 remixer band, like "Press Play On Tape."

If you're interested in this topic, I'm excitedly waiting for replies.
READY.

Interesting thread... Well, as i was on the c64 i never released much SID tunes, dunno why?

But, when i got my first real synthesizer, a Roland JV880, i made a lot of more music and started to program sounds by myself.

In 1998, i got a great offer from Yamaha Europe, to make some sounds for the Hardware synthesizer Yamaha Cs6x/R, S90, Motif, Motif ES and from that time on i made more sounds and sampels as music...

I worked from 1998 till today for companies like Yamaha Europe, Waldorf Music, Native Instruments, Ableton, reFX, Linplug, FXPansion, Illio Entertainment, Fabfilter, Camelaudio and many, many more...

In 2006, i released my very own software synthesizer with the LinPlug company together, i worked over 2,5 years on that machine making 1000 new presets and 5,5gb new sampels. I got 3 Awards for that machine and it's still used all over the world.. and Chris Hülsbeck was making a little demotune with my machine

I'm a bit proud of that because i love making new sounds and sampels and it's very great to see that a big hollywood musician and still using my synth in some of the big hollywood productions...

Well, because i didn't much music the last few years, i decided to stop making sounds and to start making music again, i am involved a little bit into the software synthesizer development and so i did some presentation videos on my myspace side, including music, if you want, check them out...

Ah, by the way, i released 2 tracks on remix.kwed.org, just for phun! ;)

Really? I love "Indigo blues" by Llorca. Good stuff indeed, and isn't it a small world we're living in?
