If you need this function, try something like this (haven't verified):
$08a3: JMP $0b72 ; save if error
$08a3: jmp $088e ; skip if error

Seems to work, but I'm having issues with getting it to save directly to the SD card of the 1541u (ie device #9), a .d64 mounted as device #8 works fine tho.
