Event id #3071 : Transmission64 2021 Fall Edition

Two parties in a year, who would have thunk.

The competitions will be similar to those at the previous Transmission64; we might make some slight adjustments to the rules and will announce those shortly. We're also considering adding one or two competitions.

Consider this our "call for papers" - if you're interested in holding a presentation or have an act, please send an outline of it to hello (at) transmission64.com.

Thank you for organizing this party!
Lovely to see so many attendants this evening. And really, crunching down the waiting times for the compos made the experience so much better.

YMMV. But try finding an excuse for prematurely hard-cutting releases with an ugly reset to cartridge menu, including the final (and ultimately winning) demo in the show... =)

Quote: Thank you very much for organizing this. It was somehow nice, but somehow I really miss real life contact. All this feels a little bit dull :(

Cheers and kudos to the organizers who try their best to keep things going, but tbh.: fuck this new post covid "virtual only" life. I hate it!

Awesome releases... going to bed with mixed feelings ...

This. I need a Spider J hug again.

Well said Spider J! I'm sure we will get out of this covid hell some day... and on top of that, don't let Mr. Cuckerberg's "Metaverse" bullshit take over. Real parties with real people all the way!

So many great releases!. Thanks for organizing T64 party.

I have a question though.
I think I saw a screen with the advert of the new Mufflon v2 converter?
It appeared for me only once and then dissapeared. I've never noticed it again.

Any news? Is DeeKay around to comment and maybe unveil the release date?
Is it going to support C128 VDC modes?

Sorry for spamming the thread. I just dont wat to start a new one

Thank you for the kind words. I guess we should focus more on running slides so you can see all of them several times :D

The best way to catch Deekay for me usually is on Facebook and he did send us this slide actually already in April, but yes, he is around and is waiting for the release of Mufflon v2 as well - I think he's waiting on the coder or so. I'll try to point him here and to your question.

Yes, Mufflon 2 is due out soon - as usual for all systems! ;-) It has new adjustable color modes (YUV, RGB, HSL), Floyd Steinberg instead of pattern dither, Colodore palette option, multithreaded rendering and a PAL/NTSC NUFLI displayer (unfortunately not for MUIFLI).. Nothing for VDC though, what gave you that idea? 8)

I'm just waiting for A Life in Hell to finish the port to the new Python Framework! ;-)

@DeeKay
Thanks for reply

and regarding your question....
I refer to Colour Spectrum you released earlier this year and the comment of yours
"@Carrion: We may release the converter/viewer thingy I used for my gfx soonish"

I guess this is not the thing then ;)
and I wait for VDC converter patiently. C128 and it's graphics is certainly a territory I want to explore.

No, this is definately not "the thing"! ;-)
"The thing" is a command line Java Applet by JA that takes PNGs as inputs that already adhere to the VDC restrictions (so totally different than Mufflon!) and then sends the gfx data over the network to a 1541 Ultimate with Ethernet running a viewer to be displayed on real hardware...
