Well, one of his releases is called 'The Grand Mix', and Ben Liebrand is ofcourse famous for his .. grand mixes :)

But I think in 1987 he was already on Dutch radio so maybe somebody just 'took' his name as a joke.

I doubt it too, also he was doing the 'big' national grand mixes in 1986 already (got it on tape!). and during those days it'd be very rare for musicians using the c64 for the SID sound.
