New produced joystick?
Is there any company that is still making new joysticks?

VoDKa, when talking about Arcade joysticks (with a capital), people mean a certain type of joystick. Not the sort that is generally used in arcade machines ;-)

Quote: It shouldn't be too hard to modify the USB Competition Pro joysticks, though.
In my experience, the USB version of the Competition Pro has nowhere near the same build quality as the classic. The buttons are especially dodgy.

the only way that makes sense is that you compared usb sticks from the first batch with retro sticks from later batches - because they are infact identical (come from the same machines) except for the electronics board that does the usb stuff. |

I compared the two USB sticks I got with the many old sticks I have. No idea what batches they are from. If there is a well-known quality improvement in later batches of the USB sticks I'd be interested in getting a new one. Is there? Where can I order to be sure to get one of those? |

there was a change in second batch (both retro and usb version) that improved the buttons. the electronics part in the usb one probably is still crap though =P |
