The Mibri C64 Demoshow
Hello everyone,
I thought I should start a thread here so I can post details whenever I'm planning to do a Twitch stream of C64 demos played on real hardware. We had a great time during the one I hosted last week!
I will be doing another one tomorrow (Tuesday 14 April) night at 1930 UK time (2030 CEST), playing a few releases from Revision 2020 alongside lots of other great C64 demos, intros, etc.
Find me at https://www.twitch.tv/mibric64/ - cheers! |

Krill: Aha! Good idea - OK, I will play the end of Camel Park next week, using the part selector, then my conscience can rest. :D
Carrion: Thanks a lot for the kind words and for the request; I'll play A Load of Old Shit next week. I do hope to continue the show after the lockdown situation is fully over, though it may have to move to Monday nights fortnightly rather than Tuesday nights weekly! I'll give everyone plenty of notice if the schedule changes. Basically I'll keep going as long as I'm able to, and as long as it's fun. :)
About Dutch Breeze: I have thought about it again, and... well, there's no way I'm playing it, sorry. Showing demos with quasi-pornographic parts (I'm not interested in debating lexical semantics here - I did my best!) would violate Twitch's 'Community Guidelines', which could conceivably get me suspended, and to be honest I don't think the guidelines are unreasonable. I don't particularly want to spell out my personal view on the material in question here, but I have to remember that there are people out there - including potential new viewers - who would rather not see it, which is totally fair enough, and they should have the right to not have it placed in front of them without them expecting it. And yes, I know I've shown a few demos with a little bit of pixeled boob on them before, but that's not quite on the same level. :) |

My first time watching live this week! Really enjoyed it. Nice selection of demos I know well, demos that I hadn't seen before and demos that I haven't seen in YEARS. |

Cheers Deev! Feel free to give me a shout if you have any hot tips of prods that you think I might not have seen before. |

Ok, registered@Twitch (boy, what a flood of accounts you need these days as an avarage c64-scener;)).
Maybe some of them were on already (don't remember them all), but I'd like to suggest the following demos for the playlist:
Goatbeard has some really nice "how on earth can this be done"-effects in it.
For its style and music (we're speaking of Knatter here), there should at least be one of the XAKK-demos on the menu, e.g. Bound to Be Best #1 or Bound to Be Best #2.
This Shocker Megademo seems quite unknown to me, yet it's nicely done, so I put it on the list, too.
And the "2x2-mode"-demo Movie World (sorry, I love this mode;))
Ah, ofcourse Dutch Breeze also belongs here (I know, it WON'T get aired, but it must be on the list for the importance of this gem alone:):)).
Maybe there's some stuff amongst it you find worthy for the show.
Cheers-

Keep the requests coming, and thumbs up to mibri for posting here what’s been on previously! |

Ok, point taken! Sorry tlr, didn't want to spoil anything...
Just wanted to give some proposals (Mibri might refuse them, so the thrill of what gets played is still on;)). |
