Release id #94445 : We Are New
I can't seem to be able to change to side 2 on my 1541U. Is it just me or does it work for anyone? |

Well certainly this is no issue of the demo but of the hardware then. |

Quoting HCLWhat's the use of 1541u if you have to flip the card anyways!? I'd rather flip disks just like in the old times :P.
Amazing to what extend Gideon went in emulating the feeling of flipping media, don't you think? |

I have these issues too (1541U II).
We Are New: Does not detect a turn disk
(I'll try Hollowman's workaround soon)
Another beginning:
Hangs on the Comic picture slideshow... Dr Doom doesn't go away so to speak.
...So, this can/should be fixed in the 1541U firmware then? |

A bit more info:
RC9.0 has the same erroneous results
The sd-card remove trick does not work on 1541U-II, there also is not an "trigger disk change by removing sd card" option on the II (right?)
Removing a disk with F5 and mounting afterward also doesn't work.

Quote: I am so happy for the rules in the compo to be a native c64 with a normal drive from back in the days when man was man and machine were machine... or something lame like that... ;-)
Yep. As long as it works on the real thing, it works. |

1541U-II RCA update:
- Both We Are New and Another Beginning do not load at all anymore, only a red screen is shown for some reason.
(I'm posting here, because I referenced this topic in the bug report on the 1541II website) |

Red screen means the loader failed to init. |

Stop using loaders incompatible with the newest hardware and use the native one instead \o/ |

Or, at least, give us a choice ;-) |
