http://noname.c64.org/csdb/votestatistics.php?type=group&id=6933

i think it means that 5 out of 7 users think this group rules.

personally i'd take it about as serious as the other votes =P

By my calculations, the rating should be 8.5 since:
((10*10)+(1*2))/12 = 8,5

Well, that's quite interesting and cool at the same time. Is there an upvoting protection too?
Edit:
Just checked, only downvoting protection exists.

3 things IMHO

different point of view brought to a sparks of war ... in the past there were federations against ...

past grudges lead to this?

So why a fake group release A Pac A Lips Now + is not stated as fake?
Why a fake group exist Moan Team ... with fake sceners ...

Where is the reliability of csdb??

This crap affect the work of upload guys and project maintenance

We all know the probs for the votes (up & down) ... but when i see in top groups Moan Team at first place and
Eaglesoft & Booze Design down I think that the joke is goin' to pollute the whole thing ...

Is it possible to kindly remove it or we really need this to have a laugh?

Just crap up the votes - they are in no way useful at all and are object to constant drama anyhow.
Fake label groups on the other hand have a long tradition and their stuff sure belongs here.

indeed, what countzero said.

its also an interesting question what constitutes a "fake group" or a "fake scener" imho.... as also changing handles and founding new groups using different handles has a long tradition - how do you know this isnt exactly that? :)

we all know the truth .. and the mainteners of the page knows exactly who's behind ... if it was stated as faked would be more honest ... i don't mind if we like sceners that doesn't exist but if we like the charts I suppose that this should be stopped ... today the chart .. tomorrow the release ... the scene is still alive and thanX GoD we are still interested in what's goin' on ... check the number of Vandalism last issue downloaded!

A demo? Far too sensible, how about a fake group and some fake sceners?

Isn't it soooo simple?
As soon as Jazzcat puts a fake label release on THE LIST - it's a real group. :)

We really should have separate group and scener lists separating fake ones from real ones, like we have in the demo categories. Why? Because I think it's unfair when the top groups list gets sabotaged by fake groups.

tomoalien: you have voted it 10 so you shouldn't complain about anything. Just fix your vote as i just did and there, not anymore in the top groups (which doesn't say top REAL groups anyway) =)

as of now there are
Panoramic Designs (9.4)
3 Vibrants (9.3)
4 Eagle Soft Incorpora.. (9.3)

3 groups that doesn't have anything to do in each other's category (demo, music and cracking)

so what?

I am actually thinking of how to make a sensible result out of the votes without taking to much processing time on the server side. If i come up with some resonable solution, then i post it here on CSDB.

Math has some nice tools for dealing with propagating values.
I saw that Moanteam didn't have that much votes as Panoramic Designs or Booze Design. Yet still higher mean-measure.

Yes, i had a fast thought and this would change the ranking to some group benefit and lower another one.
Seriously i could take some hate for this,

Example: Percent 9 vote is = number of nine votes divided by total number of votes.

Take
10*percent 10 vote add
9*percent 9 vote add
8*percent 8 vote add
7*percent 7 vote add
6*percent 6 vote add
5*percent 5 vote add
4*percent 4 vote add
3*percent 3 vote add
2*percent 2 vote add
1*percent 1 vote equals points

If anyone like to use the calculator, you see that Panoramic design will get higher vote than Moanteam as it is now when i am speaking.

DISREGARD THE QUOTE ABOVE SINCE I ACCIDENTALLY QUOTED THE WRONG POST.

I've voted 10 on it because that's what STE'86 wanted me to do. I changed my vote into a 2 since they actually released a thing.
