Will it recognize Hubbard's player or f.ex. Michael Winterberg ? (both are very easy to detect)

Here some strings I take from my old sidengine scanner:

Rob_Hubbard
2c ?? ?? 70 ?? FE ?? ?? AD ?? ?? 10 ?? C8 B1 ?? 10 ?? 9D ?? ?? 4C END
C8 B1 ?? 9D ?? ?? 0A A8 B9 ?? ?? 8D ?? ?? B9 ?? ?? AC ?? ?? 99 01 D4 9D ?? ?? AD ?? ?? 99 00 D4 9D ?? ?? 4C END
C8 B1 ?? 9D ?? ?? 0A A8 ?? B9 ?? ?? 8D ?? ?? B9 ?? ?? AC ?? ?? 99 01 D4 9D ?? ?? AD ?? ?? 99 00 D4 9D ?? ?? 4C END
C8 B1 ?? 9D ?? ?? 0A A8 ?? ?? B9 ?? ?? 8D ?? ?? B9 ?? ?? AC ?? ?? 99 01 D4 9D ?? ?? AD ?? ?? 99 00 D4 9D ?? ?? 4C END
C8 B1 ?? 9D ?? ?? 0A A8 ?? ?? ?? B9 ?? ?? 8D ?? ?? B9 ?? ?? AC ?? ?? 99 01 D4 9D ?? ?? AD ?? ?? 99 00 D4 9D ?? ?? 4C END
C8 B1 ?? 9D ?? ?? 0A A8 ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? B9 ?? ?? 8D ?? ?? B9 ?? ?? AC ?? ?? 99 01 D4 9D ?? ?? AD ?? ?? 99 00 D4 9D ?? ?? 4C END
AC ?? ?? DB ?? ?? 8E ?? ?? 0A 0A 0A AA BD ?? ?? 8D END

Martin_Galway
A0 00 B1 ?? C9 C0 90 END

Matt_Gray
FE ?? ?? D0 ?? C9 FB 90 20 C9 FB D0 18 A9 01 9D ?? ?? C8 FE ?? ?? B1 END

Maybe for the ones that want to determine new strings, Simon had created a program for this task: it compares sids each others and put the common string to use.
The pourpoie was to improve quality of detection in the 'Sid64 Player database' of Ray (that has about 700 engines in it).
He even provided a scanner for that. Maybe HVSC crew can answer if some improve is done in it. Source of this program was putted into sidplay2 CVS repository (don't know if it was up to date with the last version) some years ago.

http://sidplay2.cvs.sourceforge.net/sidplay2/sidengine/

but now I see that the source of the tools (not the database) is the initial so not the last one

If it's easy send the signatures to Cadaver as you find them :)
I just sent him Ice00's new sigs, and some more including the ones for Winterberg sids. Just recheck the zip - after Cadaver has updated it.

I've checked it with the tunes from the sidcompo '06 at c64.sk, and it is quite interesting to see how many people use Goat to compose. :-I

Usually Cadavers (music) tools are quite destructive since they incline to erase the whole *magic* & fascination of the SID (f.ex SIDDUMP)

I'm really wondering what comes next...

Nata, I don't know anyone who used Siddump, except for you.

Cadaver's music tools has made a lot of people coming back to the scene composing a tune again after not doing any C64-related stuff for 15 years. THAT'S what I call magic & fascination!

Of course, SIDDUMP rocks! (and still use it everyday) But only if you aren't a scener.... (f.ex me)

Maybe they did nothing for 15 years because they are pissed of the most c64 msx editors?

For certain tools he makes only secret updates. (or should I say *covertly*?) ;-)

But anyway, a real Nata checks everyday his homepage. :D
