Would have prefered if you would have held back this compo until ICC is over. Great final entries were hardly recognized among this flood. But I guess you did not expect so many entries being submitted... ;) |

It's a miracle, if you consider the fact that "This is a very challenging online compo!" ;-) |

Someone pick the right pictures and create a story telling demo from these many entries :)
I'd love to see the competitors create higher resolution prods as well, hm...
Just like Didi I think nobody really thought of that many entries and its even quite hard to vote through all of them. Maybe future alike compos should be limited in number of entries per participant and probably have some rough theme so not just anything ends up on the compo.
Anyhow - interesting to see many different people adding releases nowadays :) - keep it up and PLEASE double check your entries and e.g. set graphics type to PETSCII. |

Some screens use the border (D020) in a different colour than the background (D021) and some even in a third colour on screen.
The rules only allow 8x8 characters and two colors as graphical elements.
So a different border from the background would be against the rules, because the border is part of the C64 screen and a visible part of the picture. Therefore these pictures are bigger than just 8x8 characters and it has more than two colors, too.
Just my 2c. |

Are we allowed to make PETSCII animations in the compo while if it applies with the 8x8/two colors? Or does it violate the rules? Had a thought of it, and I'm planning on making one sometime before the deadline (hope I can make it though..). |

@Brittle As stated in the info if your work is good it might become a Stamp. Animations cannot by Stamps. But you can submit your animation as "outside of compo" piece. |

Quoting TheTomRules:
1) Images can't be bigger than 8x8 chars. Images can't be smaller than 2x2 chars
Is it correct to assume that all the entries with a signature at the bottom right are all out-of-compo entries because of not complying to rule number 1?
It will save us a lot of time voting ;-) |

TheTom has a signature in their submissions, so I think it's safe to assume that signatures are ok. |

Everything outside the picture (8x8 or less) is to be ignored. So borders and signatures should be ignored when voting. |

So one could make a 8x8 pic on top and add a "signature" sized 40x17 below it. Clever =) |
