Game graphics & sprites designer needed

Hi,

I'm making a new C64 game, current working-title 'CandyMan'. It's a 2D scroller with 64x64 blocks maps, each block 4x4 chars. Probably there will be 4 such maps, and I need someone to help me with the pixeling of these maps. So, it's not bitmap grafix, just simple text grafix.

Same thing for designing the game sprites: someone needed here also.

The latest version of the game can always be downloaded from http://users.i4surf.net/dannybiesmans/
It's under 'Projects', named 'CandyMan'.
I will refresh the download link each time I have a new stable prg.

Greetings & hoping to hear from you soon!

Danny

Quote: Sweet, will Richard do again the music? =) (like for your game Xetris).

Good Luck!

Fast, already a crack is out (of the preview)! :)

Yes, that is right. I will be doing the music for this game :) I just wait until the game is finished, then I'll be ready to do some music for it ;)

Like you wrote: someone has already 'released' the game on CSDB. How stupid! Because it's just a working version of what is going to be a game within a year or so..you can't really 'play' it yet!

I just wanted to search for pixel-artists on the forum and to show them what kind of game it will be, I made the game progress downloadable on my website. Even more stupid is that someone else has even made an user comment to the so-called 'release', saying that it was produced in 1985, with some stolen routines! To ALL: all code in the game is originally coded by me, NO COPY AND PASTE, except for the current music player routine that was supplied to me by Lasse, 'cause we used his GoatTracker prg to do the music for Xetris with it. So the current music in CandyMan is just the Xetris music, made by Richard. Richard also agreed to do the music for this game later on, when the game is entering it's final stage. I'm looking forward to this!

Anyway, I've already found someone that could do the text graphics, but if you're good in sprite pixeling you could always let me know. You could also make some request of how you think the game should look & play.

======

Just ask them to give you a list of the games/demos that the routines came from. Then put in your earplugs for the resulting deafening silence... they can never do it. I've been waiting for 17 years now. :D :D

Yes, it was that naive Secret Man who made those incorrect comments. But this is to be expected from a guy that doesn't know anything out about the C64 or scene outside his local area.
