As some of you might know I'm currently travelling Asia (see http://schikilade.blogspot.com), and even though Internet (even WiFi) is widely available here i just cannot connect to IRCnet (#c-64 ofcourse! ;-) Many other networks are fine, IRCnet isn't. I've tried IRC-clients and webchats to no avail, I always get "unauthorized connection", the servers prolly just say "OMG iz teh Asia!!!!" and run away screaming! ;-) Any suggestions on how to solve this? Forwarding ports for identd is ofcourse out of the question, even if i had access to the routers I'd have to do it in every guesthouse I stay in!...   ... 10 posts hidden. It works through using the random server that irc.ircnet.com provides, i guess they automatically pick one that works from wherever you are logged in from! 8) Well, atleast i hope it does, or i might not be able to reproduce it next time...
