THE MOVERS Treasure Chest V
Hi folks, I think the time has come to start a new Treasure Chest thread.
Links to the old ones:
TMTC
TMTC II
TMTC III
TMTC IV
But before offering the next package we at The Movers want to say THANKS to all of you still delivering new old stuff. Keep going on!
First package in this new thread is from a non-scener guy living in our home-town Bochum. Just know him some years now and found out that he got C-64 disks in his cellar. So I named this collection the Helmut disks. Haven't checked it against CSDB entries. Anyway enjoy the stuff.
Helmut disks
Cheers!

Quote: Here are the images of disks that I obtained from various sources:

Some of them have errors (it is stated in their filename) and there is a dirlist in each archive. I hope that someone finds something useful in there...

Here's the stuff I have collected over the last few years.
Lots of old Nashua disks that had errors, they're all in a separate subfolder. If anyone discovers anything interesting in there let me know and I can send those bad disks to someone with a bit more patience or better equipment.
I used a 1571 with xum1541 and d64copy.
It's on wetransfer, so gone in a week.

Once upon a time,
Thanks to one of the people in this country, I got two banana boxes in my hands.
And they weren't just boxes. These boxes were full of other boxes. Some shoe boxes, some nicely made in transparent plastic, but they had on thing in common. They were all packed with 5.25 diskettes.
And since I didn't know why, I agreed to take care of these floppy disks, so I started to archive history of Marcus, swapper of Unreal and who knows what other groups...
I didn't know yet that the next four weeks, every 30 seconds, I would drive one floppy disk after another into my single 1541 drive. For copying, I "pay god" (not paying ..) used 1541 ultimate and its great Ulticopy8, which in 33 seconds will convert the floppy side to SD card.
And what is waiting for you?
Games, demos, magazines, period relics and sources of Splash magazines, which in recent times flooded the Czech region with information about Commodore 64. There certainly be a lot treasures so if you come across something.. into the discussion with it, boys!
And I'll add one nostalgic note...
In the initial phase of copying, I rake into one of the banana boxes and pull out the unlabeled diskette, with a full surprise I insert an unlabelled diskette into the drive and what the treasure I found on it...
Moments of surprise and call! PCH Music Collection from 1996 and a few of them I didn't know I used to create back then in the summer of 1996 :)
Download, analyze .. discuss and save .. there is about 185 Mb in ZIP .. 1683 pages of floppy disks and in unpacked state 280 MB on disk :)
And I promised one. I will never copy diskettes again!
yeah .. and the download link is here: http://www.c64.cz/download/marcus/marcus.zip
