Why Richard WHY?

I just learned of the sad news that Richard Bayliss, hero to us all, has decided to leave both Civitas & Covenant, to Concentrate on his Coding for Crypt. Surely, this is a black day for the scene, and we all need to be strong to survive this terrible, terrible ordeal.

Though it is not our place to doubt the great one's decisions, it still puzzles me why he has taken this step. One can only hope that one day he will join the ultimate-group-whose-name-starts-with-a-c (Crest), for it is that day that we all will find our inner peace.

Now please join me in a prayer ..

no, not pwnd...

what i tried to say is that it is sooo easy to slag other people off for the quality of their productions or to make fun of them. Afaik mr. Bayliss is far from being a loudmouth or nuisance to other active people, so I just dont understand why there should be taken any fun of him..
Because of some sprite-mods of ancient games? Because of low-standard games that he produces? (of which the quality is more or less the same as all these Game On diskmag games we all were too eager to 'crack' early 90's btw...)

But maybe im missing a point here. I'd be happy to be proven wrong :)

Richard is a very friendly human and scener. He is also one of my best C64 scene friends. The world need more humans like Richard, than it would be a more peacefull world!

TDJ, have u read at all the news on c64.sk ?

"I seem to have been in too many groups."

Secondly this should have been posted at c64.sk, much rather than starting to pollute csdb with idiotic topics. We are going to be a pouet with this attitude.

As far as i'm concerned everyone is entitled to criticize who ever/what ever they want to. Just becoz' i'm not an active scener anymore dosn't make me shut up, or anyone else for that matter. I, for myself never enjoyed any of those shitty Bayliss games, but i sure loved his remixes of Last Ninja and Tell It To Your Heart. Richard seems like a nice guy becoz' he can take the criticism the right way, which leads me onto Wanderer who can't.

Thanks for the 1167 mails by the way, i really enjoyed them. I spent my Friday night laughing coz' every single mail you sent remainds me of how much you must hate me becoz' you can't TAKE CRITICISM and argue like a man. BTW, i got the IP number from the one sending all those mails and don't know how to go further with the case. Consider sending me a apoligize and some new formated disks... Hail Satan of Evil!
