Closing topics by misjudgment

"FASTER 3D GRAPHICS" was already over 5 years old when I first discovered it in 2009. I've sent a PM to Stingray and asked about the status of the project. I was following this thread since then and i find CD-i talk on topic because VIC-X project is not very active and there is nothing wrong about talking on similar hardwares. This may even inspire Stingray.

Groepaz made his mind and closed the thread. I was still following that thread. Stingray can always start a new one but closing that thread was wrong. If Stingray have posted some news on the project, it would certianly come back on track right away.

Was it a big deal? No. But please, next time listen to the CSDB crowd before doing such thing. For example, I would have posted a "+1" too but you didn't even allow that. Also please understand my mood by repeated "please" words.

I "resurrected" that thread hoping that some news would have arrived. Now I feel sorry I did it.
I'm with skate, that thread should not have been closed. From time to time stingray was giving us some news about his project and, anyway, I think that talking about rle (the way it's been) in a thread named "FASTER 3D" can't be considered OT.
My 2 cents

I have sent a message (before this topic has been opened) to the moderators using the csdb function for it, asking for reopening aswell.

Yeah, posting images like these really helps your cause.
*sigh*

Read this and perhaps your attitudes changes for the better...

I found the info on the CD-i RLE-thing interesting, but then I am interested in all different platforms!
It might have been a bit offtopic for a C64-board maybe, but still I don't think the amount of posts on CSDB are that high that some OT that is still withing the general topic is big enough of an issue to warrant a close.

Deleted some idiotic posts. Now people, let's solve this calmly. The thread was interesting (although it was discussing it not only from hadware point of view, there was also huge part of it concerning coding). It grew quite big over the time. I have read a huge part of it when it popped out recently, but it was outdated (or better said, the hardware project discussed originally in the topic got either cancelled or stalled).

I also think it is much better to start new thread when Stingray has some time to post update. Or start a new thread with first post pointing to the old one.

it's just very lame to close topics though it was a bit offtopic sometime.. maybe? But hey... why closing down? doesn't make sense.. despite any argument given, it was quite on-topic all that time.. just open it again! :)

Oh, great, now you rendered half of my post irrelevant!
*rant* *spit* *curse*

Just kidding.
I'm fine.

If anyone has anything to say on that topic.. concerning either harware acceleration card for C64 (by Stingray), or the routines discussed by C64 coding gurus (when the thread was took over by them ;-), feel free to start a new thread with starting post linking to old thread for reference.
