How about voting for admins?
IMO, (some of) the admins use this site as their own penis-enlargement pills. Who the fucking fuck put them into their positions? Why can't we decide who's goes up or down? I'm really full fed by (some of) them. A community site like this needs good advisors, which non of them are. Why can't we decide? |

Well, when I opened a thread on closing topics, i didn't mean to start a rebellion. :) I mean I just wanted to criticise not to destroy. ;) |

Voting sucks, judging people sucks even harder.
If you have a problem with admins, it's probably something that comes from both sides.
In all of the cases that I didn't agree with the actions of an admin, I had a constructive discussion (IN PRIVATE!) with them and the issues were solved.
And certainly it wasn't in their advantage every time.
So, stop whining.

haha, yeah.
Of all things, voting works the least.
Hence, let's vote on even more things.

I don't agree with "IN PRIVATE" part. At least it doesn't apply for all cases. In this case, there was a public discussion and nobody had supported the admin. He closed to topic ignoring all the posts with oppısite ideas. In such case, I don't think discussion should go on behind the doors. It's not a little administration mistake, it's an act, an attitude we needed to discuss. But unfortunately, my topic didn't reach its goal, instead caused topics like this one. |

I kinda hate to read idiotic threads started by intelligent people. This is so sad.

Vote for admins? Let me comment it like this; If any user on Antidote came up with the clever idea to vote for Sysop and Co-Sysop, their account would be deleted in 0.00001 seconds. ;)
Seriously, just as a BBS, CSDB is not a democracy. Ofcourse we can whine when admins do something we dislike (in the past I used to whine that they were too nice to certain eggheads on here who constantly broke rules, for example). However, we can not demand anything, and certainly not who should be in charge or not.
If that's not acceptable, build something yourself and impose your own rules. |
