every intro has a different scrolltext at least and we're not going to add all of those as separate intros, are we? it's why we have the crack release type.

err no, scrolltext should be obvious

however, anything else should....else it would be kinda hard to draw the line. whats a new intro? is a new logo enough? a new tune? a new logo, tune, and colors? or what? :)

new intro: new gfx

not new intro: different tune

I dont see a problem in adding multiple music credits to an intro, like I've done here: Success Intro 07

Unrelated: add "First Release" credit also.

I think this can be derived from the release date.
Also, I don't think this should be a credit, as it can not be attached to a scener.

This is good info for 'trivia'.

I was wondering, do we have to make a new entry for a crack intro every time a bit or byte is changed? (for instance, different tune or logo)

I stumbled upon this when I checked the Turtles intro in front of Kamikaze. Rough created a new entry for it (Turtles Intro), but there was allready a 'released as intro' entry (Turtles Intro 2) only with different music than the one used for Kamikaze.

Discussion is unneccessary, I simply overlooked Violator's Turtles Intro entry, of course intros will not be added just because of another tune or charset.

I even don't make extra entries if just that the logo is changed, for that case I put a second screenshot in the comments. For me it is a different intro when there is enhanced code e.g. Triad Intro from Mr.Z and the advanced version from Janitor.

Mace: I wish I had more energy at the moment to describe this to you. Maybe someone else will.

First release = original scene, it isn't "trivia" but paramount (and often neglected by the modern and in some cases naive scene :))

I think this is where demoscene and cracking scene clash.

I can see it's of importance, but it's a bit beyond me to make a fuzz about it, sorry.
Kind of 'harsh' to say it's naive, to be honest, but let's not go there in this thread :)

it's quite comparable with party results for the demoscene.

if you think who was first with a game is just a bit of trivia, then yes, that's a bit naive ;)

it also can't really be derived from releasedates. quite often the official firstrelease wasnt actually the first release =)
