Quote: Yeah, yeah, ok, I get it... let's move on.

To add something to this thread: perhaps it can be done like with the various graphics types?

A kind of secondary category:
- first release
- recrack
- import
- intro linked (?)

ooh, I like that idea!

and a fullscreen musician category please ;_)

If there are more release types added, then we can remove dentro and cracktro in exchange. First release seems indeed difficult to pinpoint, since many crackers had a bigger mouth than dick.

From 88/89 on first releases can easily be judged, the first one to be on the major US boards, if possible including NTSC fix.

edit: and yes of course, sometimes non modem using groups had their cracks ready more early, e.g. The Power by Pulsar but who can truly judge that if it's true?! No way.

Semi related, speaking of credits...

how about adding something to the group entries.. 'Intros by this group'?

Also, seeing the names of groups/sceners while browsing categories would also be nice.. right now it only shows release names.

I second that, group entries need the button sorting by Release Type like the sceners already have

I have documented ALL "first releases" (official) from 1991 to 2007 (http://www.atlantis-prophecy.org/onslaught/thelist.html). Before 1991 is quite difficult to be 100% certain on who did what, especially pre-1988.
