Little Computer People 2011 (LCP 2011)

(Instead of potentially flooding the X thread with LCP info it is perhaps better to start a new thread...)
---------------------------------------

This is to officially announce LCP 2011!

I am currently looking for a party place which is large enough for a big C64 party. (If someone has a good idea for a party place in the Lund/Malmö area, send me a PM!) That will be the 9th or 11th LCP party, depending on whether StLCP and the BFP parties are counted as an "LCP" or not. :)

LCP is usually held the last weekend of July, but a more exact date will be reported later on. (It is usually no more than one week after or one week earlier than the last weekend of july though.)

You may have noticed that there was no LCP this year. The reasons for this were only temporary and there are no plans whatsoever of ending the LCP party series. So start working on your demos, tunes, pictures and so forth! It is only about 8 months until the deadline! :)

Considering how many more visitors LCP had last time (150+) compared to previous years (around 100), and the number of great releases, there are good reasons to believe that LCP will be the C64 party of the year in 2011! Perhaps it will continue to grow? That's up to you!

As soon as it is available, any info will be posted on the LCP site. Keep an eye on http://lcp.c64.org/ !

@Frantic: Is using the Milk Factory out of the question? That was a very cool partyspot I think.

@Archmage: Yes, the milk factory was really nice, but is not available since a few years back. Some company resides there now. Anyway, we'll find something nice.. :)

@Rambones: Yes, the LCP2009 place certainly got too hot, which is why I am not planning to have LCP2011 there. The place in Lund was good in many ways, but it is too small for a full scale LCP.

And pray to the weather gods ?
So where will you get power outlets from, in a tent ?

rambones: From the main venue? Mind, there have been all-tent computer events in the past, so that wouldn't exactly be impossible either...
