dead accounts ?
How exactly does someone get deleted or banned from CSDB? I am asking for two reasons?
1- I would really like to know why ALIH got deleted
2- For the sake of database integrity. Isn't deleting someone breaking the credits of a release. Now for instance all the GameOverview issues are lacking ALIH in their credits. Isn't that unfair to a guy who has created 35 issues of a great diskmag on the face of an incredibly barren game scene. And apart from the unfair thing isn't this plain wrong to give wrong information in the database. ALIH did create those mags. If the admins etc have a problem with his behaviour in forums (I do not see how) just ban him from entering forums but do not delete the account entirely.
I would like to request people to stay on topic and not turn this thread into the other one about Alih. But there is always that risk anyway |

Back on topic: Yes, I think it is a good idea, regarding dead accounts to remove them :) |

Quote: In the case of Alih, it was his own decision. He emailed me and told me vaguely that certain people who had problems in the scene with him, decided to extend the playground to outside of the scene and stir trouble to his friends, his company, etc. Jaymz then decided to quit all scene activities. Just to clear that up a bit.
That is so fucked up. And such a great loss for the scene. I dare say nobody did a better diskmag. :-( |

What's up with your unfounded mistrust. How about asking the first three winners of the compo if they got their prize yet or what the status is, instead of making an idiot of you in yet another forum? |

No, i asked Aleksi Eeben yesterday and he got his prize money for winning the Freestyle Jam with Greenrunner (want to try for a hat trick by asking the second and third place coders as well?) which means that everyone else gets to say "we told you so" to you and you get to apologise for being such a cock. You can't apologise to ALiH of course, it's a little late since he's no longer here.
Congratulations for not having the spine to post here about him until after he felt he had to leave this board by the way... show a little backbone now and apologise publicly. |
