FaceBook
Myspace had its day, and now it seems to be facebook's turn. I was wondering how many people are actually on there?.
i'm here : http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=731207638
if anyone want to add me, just leave a message with your "scene name".
i've also noticed lots of c64 related groups on there but no c64 applications?, who knows maybe if some of us join some one will create a c64 application even if its only a little sidplayer jukebox sort of thing. |

I deleted mine at long last!... best thing I ever did for a long while! It cured my bell's palsy! ;P .... seriously, nothing personal with those I were "friends" with. |

Conrad. Good for you. IMO it's much better to waste time in communities than general social networks. |

While you're at it, search for C64 BBS PETSCII and click "I like this very much".
Spread the word to all lazy american sysops with disk drives full of petscii art and logs from their boards.
We need to get some preservation site going until' it's too late!
Anyone wanna help me set up a site with old board graphics and (mainly) american C64 BBS history?
Anyone in contact with old sysops? Get them to transfer their disks!
Acid!

Funny.. I actually just went and made myself a Facebook account for the first time ever. Dunno how long it's gonna last. I've had bad feelings 'bout facebook from the start, like it's studied by the Bilderberg dicks, etc. |

I know a few. And they are frigging stubborn/lazy about handing over their disks despite my warnings of bitrot. They HAVE them, but for whatever reason they just don't want to share.
I find that American ex-sceners have a more jaded outlook on this old stuff. A few months ago, I had lunch with Rad Man/TSM and The Impaler/TKO and Matt scoffed at me for "still being into the Commodore." Sadly, his is not an uncommon reaction from my old Commodore buddies.
I am still in contact with quite a few of my old "scene friends", many of which still have their collections and BBS files. I have been after them for YEARS to dig their disks out and loan them to me, but no dice.
I'll keep plugging away, though. :P

Quoting clonKlike it's studied by the Bilderberg dicks, etc.
"Bilderberg"... phew. You should go to Uncle Mental Doc instead of Facebook. |
