Group id #89 : Accuracy

According to a demo from this group I am adding right now (flabbergarsted), this is an austrian group but turkish according to csdb, and while some of the members are right there is a lot of unknown names here. Is this CSDB entry in fact two groups both called Accuracy ?

I am very sure that one group for sure is from turkey, as I swapped with a member (Falcon) for a long time. They did the magazine splash as it is shown under the accuracy page in csdb.

I am not so sure that there was an austrian group named like that, at least I dont remember that.

Maybe some .at guy can help us out.

The release date of Flabbergarsted tells me that there might be 2 different groups called Accuracy.

To my knowledge the Turkish Accuracy was active 1991-1994(95?).

Just my rushed idea.. Havnt checked that demo yet.

Ok, I provide some more info on the Austrian Accuracy (from the scrolltext in Flabbergarsted):

"The co-op mega demo between Yes, between the Cobra Boys and Rose Inc. Austria"

So this group Accuracy is a merger of these groups, none of them in CSDB :(

Frib is most definately a member of the Austrian group as he is mentioned in their memberlist. He is also added in csdb. He used to have an .at website for Accuracy but unfortunately it is dead now.

I've checked the demo and I change my mind. :)

Flabbergarsted, was released by, what most of us want to call, the turkish Accuracy.

In one of the parts Mr.Dj tells the story about how how he ended up in -ACY-. Mr. Dj was bron in Germay 1973 with both Turkish mom and dad. Which makes him half german and half turk. In the middle of the 80ies, he and his family move to turkey for good. In Turkey he formed some smaller groups and later TCB, The Cobra Boys.

On the 1st of september 1989 TCB and Rost inc. joined forces and changed name into Accuracy.

I think Rost inc, was the austiran part of the group. As both Frib and Tronix was from Austria and was from the Rost inc, side of the merge.

accuracy was a turkish group and i was a member of it during 94-95. it was most famous for the splash diskmag and color of code demo. i never heard of an austrian accuracy those days nor did i ever hear about a demo called flebbergarsted released by us...

as for the end... i went to US in 95 and returned in 96. when i returned the group leader mr. brain told me that the c64 remnants of accuracy was joining onslaught. so they did. me and norvax left the group and founded aesrude. then i left the scene at 97 until 2003. i do not know if accuracy was ever active again between 97 and 2003.

regards

Ok,

the note with the demo just mentioned an Austria postbox address, and I assumed it was their HQ, but perhaps it was just one of the members.

Howdy Mates!

iopop you are totally right. The Turkish TCB and the Austrian Rost Inc. joined forces and we build together Accuracy on the 1st of september 1989.

Damn! Think I swapped with a DJ/Accuracy also! I guess you had the magazine Garfield News which renamed to Splash. Was a cool mag.
