I need to convert BMP to HIRES what PC tool shold I use?

Hi everybody,
I know it's a bit stupid to ask this in pixelling forum but I need help with converting color bitmap (320x200) to C64 hires image. (hires, not multicolor). Is there any convenient XP/Win7 tool avalable for that?

I think I've used konv1.exe in past, but that doesn't run on Win7 (doesn't mean I couldn't use the other machine with XP, but I wanted to have something handy on my regular work machine). Any other options?

thanx for help in advance

Roman

p.s.: it's not a compo pic :-), just logo for Forever 2010 compo presentation system.

GIMP + cbmplugs can SAVE any pic that already has hires restrictions (2 col per 8x8 block) and 320x200 pixels.

i used P1 last time. worked for me :) (except for the nibbles-are-wrong bug... which you can fix easily afterwards :))

use the old p1, I shouldnt have released the 'new' one at the first place :/

Project One V0.5

if you're done converting use set custom gfx mode to hires, fli every 8th line, then use 'custom save'. you have to set up mem locations, file size manually, like you were working in a monitor. check the result in an emulator before quitting p1 in case of having to correct save settings.

on the c64 side you have to swap nibbles at the end.

well, thats all :D hope in the near future I'll release a less bug ridden one.

edit: or just send it to me if cant get it to work.

thanx for help everybody.

Oswald: I will first try it myself and if I fail I'll send it over. Dunno if I did it the way that will avoid clashes. Thanx in advance.

btw, adding load address will not work from the gui :) just went trough that part of the code and fixed it. copy the v0.6 files over the v0.5 installation to try the latest code. (no installer right... no time either..)
