Looking for musician for game soundtrack conversion
So I'm looking for someone who can convert a game-soundtrack for my latest C64-game project. Be aware that already 4 (!) well-known SID-musicians tried, but in the end couldn't deliver due to motivational issues!
The soundtrack essentially consists of only two tracks, but one of them needs to be implemented in multiple variations. Simulatenous sfx are also needed. Tracks should be single-speed only, sound ok on both SID revisions, and should fit in about 8KB. The game itself is already in an advanced state, but still needs some more months of work. So the timeline for delivering the musics is somewhere end of the year, or early next year.
If you think the above sounds like something you would be able to deliver, please contact me. "Payment" is on royalty basis only ;) |

Well, I was sending my stuff in very irregular manner due to assignments and troubles thus Paul hit Taxim instead. I don't consider myself as given up :P |

Well, it may be hard to suggest who would be the perfect one to do orchestral type sid music, apart from Drax ofcourse.
BUT others do surprise me from time to time. :) |

Well, it's not that much orchestral. Rather simplified retro arcade take on quasi-orchestral theme :) BTW, I do orchestral tunes as well in non c64 projects so not only Drax you know ;)

It was rescore done for film music competition. Animation had different audio in original (rather mediocre I have to say) and contestants were supposed to do new composition from scratch ;) |

Not that I am considering giving this a go.
Huh? How would that help? :) |

Hein: All posts need to be helpfull? :)
It was just out of curiousity, plus it might be a help for some to know if they should give it a try.
Ofcourse some might think they are much better than everyone else, without actually being it.... etc... :) |

Aah, ok. A MoN piece for Paul's game would be nice still. |

I miss the MON sound of the days when Charles Deenen was still active. JT also did tunes with that lovely fat'n'soft type of sounds. :) |
